Chapter 19- Welcome Back to Boston

AN: I'm sorry this is late! I didn't like where this chapter was going and frankly I still don't like it but I feel like you guys deserved an update! 

My commenter of the week is @Lenalebui her comment made me laugh because I did not mean to be cruel but I am a very cruel person when it comes to writing and cliff hangers.

Week 8 NFL Season Bye Week

3 weeks since break up

Julian Edelman's ex Abbi Belichick has been spotted getting cozy with Carolina Panther's Star Luke Kuechly. They had a beach date on a secluded beach in Southern California. Abbi and Edelman were dating as of a couple weeks ago, but broke up after Mr. Edelman went off on paparazzi and called Ms. Belichick his ex girlfriend.

"I thought that beach was private,"I said as I paced the room. Luke sat on the bed caroling through articles on the laptop and answering phone calls from the Panthers PR.

"It was Abbi I swear, I wouldn't have done this to you I promise,"Luke ran his his through his messy hair again.

"I don't blame you Luke, but I know this is going to be hell for me. It was bad enough when I was dating Julian because it was a trainer dating him. We had been friends for a while so the press was okay with it. But now I look like the whore who just goes after football players,"Tears filled my eyes as I just imagined what my uncle would say.

"Hey come on calm down,"Luke wrapped me in his big arms and whispered into my hair. He had about 5 inches and 30 pounds on Julian, but Julian's arms still made me feel safer.

"Your career isn't on the line like mine is,"I cried more and could practically feel my world crumbling, what was I thinking getting into a situation like this.

"Look at me with your gorgeous eyes,"He used a finger to tip my chin up and so I could look him in the eyes. He wiped his thumb across my face to get rid of the tears streaked down my cheeks.

"We are going to fix this. We are going to release a statement saying we are just friends. That is the truth all we are leaving out is the with benefits part. It won't be completely lying to the fans but it will hopefully cool things down for you,"Luke said and he released me and walked over to the bed. He clicked on google icon and typed in his password for instagram. I guess we were going to record a video for the fans on there. He motioned me to walk over to the bed while wiggling his eyes brows. I rolled my eyes at his silliness and took a seat next to him on the bed.

He set everything up and then hit the record button,"Hi everyone! I'm Abbi and this is Luke and we are here to set the record straight for all those pesky rumors flying around about us." I used a fake cheery voice to fool the fans that were going to see this. I needed them to think that I had to it all together and that the breakup with Julian wasn't affecting me.

"Abbi and I are just friends. We actually met yesterday and I invited her to dinner to pick her brain about professional issues. We aren't anything romantic,"Luke looked at me to continue. He was a natural when it came to entertaining people who just happened to idol him.

"Luke and I were just having fun last night. The dinner was completely platonic. My mind is 100% on keeping the players I work with healthy for the rest of the season. Go Pats!" I yelled and Luke frowned at me.

"Well since she threw her team in there I guess I have to too! Go Panthers and I will see all of you fans on Sunday. Bye guys,"we waved and ended the video. It was short enough for Luke to post and then tag me in.

"See? It's all fixed,"Luke said as he got up and stretched his muscles.

"Thank you Luke. I just have one more question and then I can bring you wherever ever you need to go. Are you still willing to continue this Friends with benefits thing with me? I don't think you understood what you were getting into last night. Since I dated Julian the media is focused on my life all the time." I didn't want Luke to sign up for anything that would get him bad publicity. Especially since in Boston I knew the fans would take Julian's side.

"We said no strings attached. We are just having fun not actually dating, so yes I am still in if you are,"I smiled and walked up to him while placing a kiss on his lips.

"Why not start now?"

(3 Days Later)

Addi and I stepped off the plane at Logan International Airport at 10 pm. We wanted to catch a late flight so we would be able to still be at the beach during the day.

"Did you text Luke?"Addi yawned as we started walking towards baggage claim. Luke requested that I text him when I landed. I teased him saying that was very boyfriendish and he countered saying he was just being a gentleman worrying about my safety.

"No, not yet. Did you text Greg?,"Addi gave me a dirty look and I just flipped her off. She was mad that I had teased her about her vacation hook up and about the fact I hadn't texted Luke.

We waited for the baggage to start rotating around the conveyer belt. Addi is convinced that Luke is going to fall in love with me but I knew that wasn't true. Seeing the hurt on his face the night of our date I knew he was truly in love with another girl. Which was fine with me. We were both using each other as a distraction from our pain.

"It's fine Ad, I will text him now." I pulled up my phone and went to messages. My most recent contact I texted was Luke.

Abbi: Made it to the airport safe!

Three bubbles appeared on the lower part of my screen as he typed back.

Luke: Thanks for letting me know! We landed a couple hours ago. I am home now.

We both left for our respective homes today. Luke had spent the last three days of our vacation primarily with me. Addi didn't mind because Luke had introduced her to one one his teammates Greg.

Abbi: So jealous! Can't wait to go home and go to sleep.

Luke: It's going to be weird sleeping alone after sleeping with you the past couple of nights ;)

My face heated up at the memories of the past couple of nights. I knew he was just trying to tease me. Luke and I ended up sleeping together and I have to say he was very very good in bed.

Abbi: I'm going to miss you too. Especially in the morning...;)

Luke: It's not nice to tease people!

"There are our bags. Stop talking to lover boy and help me grab them,"Addi said as I slipped my phone into my pocket.

"You're just mad because Greg didn't text you back,"I teased her as I grabbed my suitcase as she grabbed hers.

"For your information he did text me back. Not that it's any of your business," She fired back jokingly. I knew that if the thing with Greg got serious Addi would tell me. Unlike my relationship with Luke hers might go somewhere. Luke and I are just fooling around.

"I'm sorry then,"I said as we started wheeling out suitcases to the door and laughing. We were lightly shoving each other and trying to push over each other's suitcases.

We exited the main doors and flashes immediately blinded me. I thought that flying in late meant no paparazzi but I guess that isn't exactly the case.

"Abbi how's Luke?" One reporter shouted at me.

"Abbi have you talked to Julian since the story broke?" Another yelled.

"Abbi are you and Luke secretly married,"I rolled my eyes at the last one but wisely kept my mouth shut. I was not going to stoop to the level of my ex. Welcome back to Boston.
