Abbi's POV
I rolled over and found cold sheets. My arm hit something hard and I opened my eyes and saw my hands landed on the remote. I glanced at the TV and saw that the show I was watching on Netflix had been paused. Julian must have came in and checked on me late last night, but not stayed with me.
We were teetering on the edge of getting back together but I pulled back anytime that we got close. I couldn't do it, before it was about my job interfering but now all I can picture is if we were together raising a baby and that scares the shit out of me.
I sat up and stretched my arms looking around my trashed room. No wonder Julian didn't want to sleep in here with me my room was a mess. I had clothes everywhere, mostly Julian's t shirts, sports bras and spandex. I had been living in my bed and watching Netflix while doing more research about athlete nutrition.
I grabbed new clean clothes and walked into my adjoined bathroom. I turn on the shower and strip out of my dirty clothes. My bathroom was a mess too. There was dried toothpaste on the counter by sink. There were towels on the floor and splatters on the mirror. I didn't even want to look at my reflection because I knew what I was going to see. A mess of a person. A broken person. A person who doesn't know if she is ever going to be able to find love again.
15 minutes later I got out of the shower and put on new clothes. I picked up the towels from my bathroom floor and picked up the clothes on my bedroom floor. I brought them to out small laundry room and started sorting.
After that I stripped the sheets off my bed and replaced them then I made the bed. It took me an hour and a half to clean my room. Then I moved onto the bathroom and after that the kitchen.
Julian walked through the door hours later and stopped in his tracks,"You're up."
"I am,"I smiled and pulled the casserole I made out of the oven. He walked closer to me slowly as if he was trying not to spook me. He was worried I was going to run back to my room and hide back in bed with Netflix.
"How are you feeling?"He asked me as he set his bag on the floor and leaned against the counter. I opened up the fridge noticing it was fully stocked and tossed him a Gatorade. It's what he always drank after practice.
As for the fridge being full it surprised me. I always did the shopping or dragged Julian to go with me while he dragged his feet and there unnecessary items in the cart. Julian never went to the grocery store alone, not to do a full blown grocery shopping anyways.
"I am getting better. You went grocery shopping?"I changed the subject knowing I wasn't ready to talk yet.
"Yeah, we were down to carrots and one egg so I figured it was time. Plus I can't be gaining any weight and I was getting there with all that takeout we were getting,"He teased me. When I came home all I wanted was Chinese takeout and Julian was not going to deny me anything so we got Chinese for one week. Julian started making meals after that and I thought he was being nice, but I guess he was tired of Chinese. I barely even remember those first few days to be honest.
"Thank you,"I smiled and grabbed plates. I started cutting the casserole and I could feel Julian studying me.
"Abs we need to figure out when we are going to tell people,"Julian said and I dropped the knife with a clatter.
