Dawn Pov.

I didn't mean to aggravate Chris yesterday. I just wanted to play a game. He was too busy playing on his phone instead of playing with me.

"Mommy, what does it mean when someone doesn't want to play with you?"

"It just means they're not in the mood." She said while chopping up the carrots.

"But what if I'm in the mood? Shouldn't they play anyways?"

"No, you have to respect their decisions too." She said. Ray came in the kitchen. My mom spoke but I kept quiet. I don't like Ray.

"You don't know how to speak?"

"I speak quite well thank you very much." I said.

He just laughed and went in the fridge. I hate him.

My mom says it's bad to hate a person but I can't help but hate Ray. He's so dirty and never cleans up. That means I have to clean up. He's always mean to me whenever I try to talk to mama when he's in the room. Then, he gives me weird looks sometimes..

After lunch, I went back to class and played with my phone. I don't like playing with toys anymore. I like active games, games you have to run in. Like tag! Or hide and seek!

Ms. Tina clapped her hands making everyone pay attention to her.

"Your new friends will be here in 5 minutes." She announced.

I don't think my new friend likes me. But I can change that. My teacher said that I'm very likeable person.

As soon as the new friends came in, I put my phone up and spotted my new friend Chris.

"Hey Chris! Over here!" I waved him over. He looked and came over.

"Wassup."

"Hey. Wanna play a game?" I asked. He was still in his phone. To my luck it went dead.

"What game you wanna play?" He asked sounding defeated.

"Don't be sad, its a fun game. It's called Guess What?" I pulled the board game out and gave him on of the head thingimajiggers.

"You know how to play?"

"Yeah." He put it on. I stared at his face in admiration. I didn't know he had freckles.....or high cheek bones.

"You gon put your hat on?" He asked.

"Oh, is that what it's called?" I put it on and tried shuffled the cards, I was obviously struggling.

He laughed at me and grabbed the cards.

"You can't shuffle?"

"Not really." I watched his hands as he shuffled them. He did it so skillfully. I noticed he had a tattoo on his hand. My eyes traveled up his arm seeing more tattoos.

"Does it hurt?"

"Does what hurt?" He asked passing some cards to me.

"The tattoos."

"They did when I got em." I kept looking which made him chuckle.

"Can I touch one?" He scrunched his face up.

"You wanna touch my tattoo?"

"Yeah."

"Sure." I reached out and traced one. I smiled at how articulate his arms were.

"I want a tattoo."

"Nah, it hurts badly."

"Aw....let's get started!" I exclaimed and got my cards. I put one on my hat.
