Chris Pov. A week later..
We had all of our stuff in the house. We're settled in but we will be soon. I never got to see the house I only packed the boxes. The moving people did the rest.
"This house near the school right?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's actually closer to the school." I nodded and looked out the window, it seemed like a nice neighborhood.
We pulled up in the driveway of a big house. I was in awe.
"Ma! This the house?"
"Yup. C'mon." We got out the car and went inside. It was pretty dope.
"You like it?"
"Yeah. It's big."
"Hopefully the neighbors are nice." She said.
"You haven't met them yet?"
"No." I shook my head and went upstairs. There was this big window followed by a patio.
"I like this." I slid the glass aside and walked on the patio. Yup, this my room.
"Chris!" I went downstairs and saw a woman at the door.
"Chris, this is our neighbor Denise."
"Wassup." I spoke giving her a handshake.
"Hi Chris. Have you registered in Mount Zion High?"
"Oh he already goes there." My mom said.
"What grade?"
"11th."
"Oh okay. I came over to invite you for dinner tonight." She said.
"Thank you. You're very kind. We'd love to come."
"Great! Just come over at 6:30."
"Okay, thanks bye." We waved as my mom closed the door.
"Ma, I gotta go?"
"Yes, you have too." She said.
"Why? It's gonna be a bunch of old people there."
"Christopher you're going and that's it."
I sighed and grabbed my box of my clothes to take it up to my room.
~~~~~♡3 hours later.
"Dawn! Come here!" My mama called.
"Yes?"
"Get ready, the new neighbors are coming over."
"We have new neighbors?" I asked.
"Yes, now go get dressed."
I went up to my room and picked out some clothes.
