The Zombie Apocalypse (Zack Merrick/All Time Low)

Chapter 3

~Nalah's POV

I pulled up outside a hunting store that was just off the highway and parked in the empty car park. The place was obviously deserted and there were no infected people lurking around. Lucy and I vacated the car and I grabbed one of the hand guns, throwing the other gun to Lucy and also grabbed a hunting knife. Lucy had been taught the basics on how to shoot a gun by our dad so I could trust her enough with a gun but I was still a little skeptical on her going anywhere by herself.

"We have no idea what can be in there, so stay close." I said and Lucy nodded. I opened the entrance and everything seemed fine, as far as I was aware. There were five aisles stacked with hunting equipment. Lucy wheeled two trolleys over to me, I took one and we both headed down the first aisle. A variety of guns were displayed in cabinets. I scanned our surroundings, got my gun and smashed it against the glass. The glass shatteeds and glass shards sprinkled along the floor. I done the same to the rest of the cabinets and Lucy started pulling the guns out of the cabinets into the basket whilst I retrieved the correct ammunition for the guns. After clearing the cabinets, we headed down the other aisle which was full of melee weapons. 

"What's this?" Lucy asked as she pointed to a crossbow.

"That's a crossbow. It's like archery and shooting combined together."

"Wow, that's awesome!" She exclaimed and I picked up the crossbow then dumped it in the trolley as Lucy obtained arrows for the weapon. I told Lucy to stay by the trolleys as I got a couple of machetes, axes, a baseball bat along with nails and a hammer which I would use later to make an improvised weapon and I also picked up a crowbar that I found abandoned on the ground. I even found a katana sword, which I was rather impressed with. I heard a muffled bang and turned around sharply.

"Luce? Are you alright?" I whispered.

"I'm fine. I heard something in the third aisle." I wielded the katana sword and told Lucy to keep her gun close. I wheeled the trolleys towards the top of the aisle and looked around the corner. I saw two infected, shuffling around aimlessly, both were male.

"What do we do?" Lucy whispered.

"Wheel the trolleys to the entrance back down the first aisle we came up and attempt getting out of here without attracting any unwanted attention." Lucy nods and I start wheeling the trolleys quietly towards the entrance. The wheels were squeaking on the ground and I tensed, hoping the zombies hadn't noticed. Thankfully, they hadn't. I sigh then Lucy screams. Turns out another zombie had entered the shop and was currently heading towards us.

"Shit!" I yell. I swing the katana sword when the zombie gets close and the blade slices through the neck, decapitating the zombie. The original two have averted their attention to the noise and had noticed us. Their groaning got louder and they started shuffling towards us.

"Lucy, shoot!" I yell. Lucy pulls the trigger and the smaller one goes down. The bigger one had gotten very close and had knocked me over, knocking the katana sword six feet away from me. I fall and accidentally knock one of the trolleys over. I was hoping that nothing else had heard that. I start struggling with the zombie that was lying on me. Lucy was trying to shoot it without hitting me but wasn't doing too well. I hiss in pain as the zombie continues to crush me, cutting off my breathing and blood circulation. Gun shots were sounding around me and the zombies groans were getting louder.

"Lucy, pass over one of the hunting knives!" I yell whilst pressing my forearm against the zombies neck to not get bit. Before Lucy could move, a gun shot rings out and the zombies head jerks forward, falling on to me. I see a gun shot wound in the side of the zombies head. I feel the zombie get lifted off me and I see someone offering a hand to me. Holy shit... it's Rian Dawson.
