~Last chapter... Don't hate me at the end. I'm not one for happy endings. I think you can see where this is going... Also, there shall be no sequel or anything. This is ending how it's ending.

~Nalah's POV

"Anything?" I called to Jack as we searched the bedrooms of Alex's sisters house.

"Nothing, it's just a little messy but it's general mess, not 'zombie apocalypse frantic packing'." Jack shouted back.

"Is there anywhere else we haven't checked?" I asked as we met in the hall, along with Joe, Maggie and Alex.

"Only place I can think of is the basement and attic." Alex replied as he looked up at the ceiling then looked down at the floor.

"Right, Maggie and Jack, check the basement. Nalah, Joe and I will check the attic." Alex said as he jumped up to get the chord hanging from the attic hatch. Jack nodded and dragged Maggie off with him to the basement. After a couple of attempts, Alex managed to catch the chord and tugged at it, pulling down the ladder and set the ladder down on the ground.

"I know you use the term ladies first a lot but I'm not using it for this occasion." I said to Alex and Joe. Joe shook his head and chuckled before climbing the ladder with ease followed by myself then Alex.

"God, it's really stuffy up here." Alex noted as I turned on one of the torches to see better.

"Well, Alex, it's not as if there can be any windows opened up here." Joe stated sarcastically as he mock glared at Alex. Alex huffed before rolling his eyes and we all spread out a little bit, checking the whole space. After twenty minutes and double checking the attic, we called it quits and went back down the ladder and Alex put the ladder back in the attic.

"Well, it looks like I'm not going to find her." Alex sighed as we walked down the stairs.

"I wouldn't speak too soon." Maggie spoke and moved to the side, revealing a slightly older looking girl.

"Sommer!" Alex exclaimed and hugged the girl.

"Alex! I'm a little shocked that you're here. Last I heard, you were in California in tour so I assumed you were there. How the hell did you manage to get here?" Sommer asked after getting over the shock that Alex had found her.

"We were on tour but myself and the guys were determined to get back home. Nalah, here, has helped us most of the journey along with Maggie, two other girls called Lauren and Raven who are with Rian and Zack looking for their brothers." Alex replied.

"Wow, that's pretty impressive. How long did it take you to get here?"

"Three weeks. We ran into some problems along the way but we managed to deal with them and we made it. I'm a little surprised myself, I honestly didn't think that I'd make it." Alex replied.

"Nalah? Nalah?" I heard Cassadee's voice call from the walkie.

"Joe, can you take this? I'm just going to check outside to make sure we're all clear." I said and handed Joe the walkie before he could answer and I walked towards the window and looked out. There were three walkers far down the street that we may be lucky to avoid if we got out the house within ten minutes.

"Shit!" I heard Joe yell. I turned my attention from the window to a stressed Joe.

"Alright, we'll tell her and be at the house as quick as we can." Joe spoke into the walkie and switched it off.

"We need to go now." He said.

"Why? What's happened?" I asked.

"It's Zack. Something's happened."
