~Nalah's POV

"Nalah, wake up. It's dawn and we've got a lot to do." I felt someone poke my cheek and I grunted in reply.

"Five more minutes." I grumbled, swatting away the hand and rolling to the other side.

"Roll any further and you'll fall off." I heard Zack chuckle. I grunted again and slowly opened my eyes, shielding my eyes with my hand from the sun.

"It's too bright for this shit." I complained, turning towards Zack.

"Which gives us an advantage because we can see what is around us today." He replied. I agreed with him and after brooding for a few minutes, we started making our way off the roof. Zack managed to get down successfully. I, on the other hand, did not. I misplaced my foot and slipped, not gripping on to the ladder ad fell. Before I could hit the ground, Zack managed to react quickly and caught me quickly.

"You're light. Maybe I should just carry you on my back and you can kill walkers for the both of us." Zack replied as he bounced me in his arms.

"I'm not a baby Zack." I crossed my arms and scowled at the grinning man. He laughed at my expression then set me on my feet. I nodded at him gratefully and opened the VW door. I heard grumbles and groans sound from everyone as I let the sun into the dark area.

"Wake up sleeping beauties, we have a busy day today!" I exclaimed cheerfully. What? You need to keep your spirits up when you have problems like this.

"What's the time?" Maggie grumbled.

"6am." Jack sleepfully replied after checking his watch.

"I never get up this early." Lauren moaned and she lifted her pillow, dumping it over her head to try and block out the noise and daylight.

"We have a lot to do, start shifting." Alex said as he lifted up the pillow. Rian brought out crackers and some cans of food, handing them to us and we all ate in silence. We put the rubbish in one of the many plastic bags that were stuffed in a small cupboard in the VW and dumped the bag in a corner.

"So, what's the plans for today?" Jack asked, rubbing his hands together as we all gathered outside the VW.

"We need to get gas." Alex stated.

"And we also need to learn how to shot." Maggie said.

"We'll send off two or three people to get gas from the nearest station and whoever's the best shooter can teach the rest of us." Lauren replied.

"Alright, who's going to get the gas?" I asked.

"I'll do it, I can defend myself good enough." Rian volunteered.

"I'll tag along, make sure he gets the right gas." Alex said.

"Thanks guys. Now that's sorted, who's teaching us to shoot?" Jack said.

"I say Nalah. Lucy was talking to me yesterday about how their dad was a hunting fanatic and taught Nalah how to do this." Lauren said. Everyone turned to me, looking hopeful.

"Yeah, that's not a problem." I replied. Everyone looked relieved and started talking amongst themselves whilst Rian and Alex arranged a bag each for them to take and obtained the gas cans we had retrieved earlier.

"Are you sure you're going to be fine?" I asked for the final time as Rian put on his weapons belt.

"We'll be ok. We'll hide when necessary and we should be back before it gets too dark." He replied. Alex retrieved small amounts of food for the two of them and twirled his gun around his finger.
