The Zombie Apocalypse (Zack Merrick/All Time Low)

Chapter 16

~Nalah's POV 

"Come on, let's move!" Rian whined at us as we started making our way out to the VW. 

"We're moving, we're moving, chill." Alex replied as we clambered into the VW. Rian was eager for us to go to Cassadee's house to see if she was alive but he was also terrified because he didn't know if she was OK or not. 

"Is everyone here?" Jack asked as he sat behind the driving wheel with Joe in the passenger seat. 

"Yeah!" We all shouted back. Jack whooped and turned on the engine, drove out of the cul-de-sac and started driving towards Rian and Cassadee's house. Ten minutes later and we pulled into a nice, family-friendly neighbourhood, or what it originally was because the street had been trashed and there were a couple of decomposing walkers shuffling towards the VW. 

"I got this." I said as I slid open the VW and walked towards the first walker, swinging my katana sword. The walkers head fell to the ground and continued to snap and groan as I kicked it away and finished off the rest of the walkers. 

"Ew, that is so gross. How long has it been like this?" Joe asked as he gingerly stepped onto the sidewalk. 

"Almost three weeks now, I think. I'm not entirely sure, I've lost track." Alex sighed as he exited the van after swiping a handgun and placing it in the waistband of his jeans. 

"Right, let's go." Rian said, squealing with excitement as he skipped, yes skipped, to his front door. I have to say, I was a little surprised at his enthuiasm but hey, I guess he's excited to see Cassadee... that is, if she's still alive. 

"The house appears to be fine." Jack said as we all joined up outside and Rian knocked on the door. Surprisingly, there was a rattle at the door and you could hear the locks on the door shifting. The door opened and according to Rian's facial expression, it was Cassadee. 

"Cassadee!" 

"Rian! I can't believe this!" Cassadee squealed with excitement and wrapped her arms around Rian, hugging him tight. 

"This is unreal." Rian said in shock as he continued to hug Cassadee. 

"Oh my god, you guys are okay as well!" Cassadee said as she noticed Zack, Alex and Jack. 

"And there's survivors too! Wow, this is really great! I suggest we do introductions inside. After all, it's nearly dark and more of the zekes come out then." Cassadee said as she stood to the side and let us all in. Considering this was an apocalypse, the house was in relatively good condition. 

"How have you managed to survive this long?" Rian asked as we all walked into the living room, where the couches looked SO comfy. 

"When the whole 'apocalypse' frenzy started, the dead hadn't gotten to this area of Baltimore for the first couple of days so myself and Lisa, we went to the supermarkets and mass stocked on everything we could. We never paid or anything, we just grabbed everything we could and went to at least five stores to get everything." Cassadee said as Rian held her close to him. 

"Woah, woah, woah, wait a minute. Did you say Lisa?" Alex asked as he listened in to the conversation. 

"Yeah, Lisa's fine." Cassadee smiled as a girl came into the living room. 

"Cass, what's going on he- oh my god." The girl, who I assumed was Lisa, stopped speaking and stared at everyone inshock. Her eyes scanned us all until her eyes landed on Alex and her eyes lit up. 

"Alex!" She squealed and ran straight towards him. 

"Lisa!" He exclaimed as he ran towards her and caught her as she jumped onto him and wrapped her legs around his waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
