you're friend was invited to a party so she decided to take you along with her. As you arrived there you're friend ditched you and wandered off to find some 'hot guys'.
You walked into the kitchen and helped yourself to a drink of diet coke as you was walking out you stumbled into someone and spilled your drink all down their shirt. "Oh my- i'm so so so sorry, are you okay, would you like me to help clean-" the deep voice cut you off "Hey, look, its totally fine, but if you wouldn't mind please would you help me clean my shirt" he said.
You had not yet looked up to see the guy because you felt so self-consious when someone looked at you incase they noticed all your flaws. You and the mystery guy walked to a near by bathroom. There was something familiar about his voice, it comforted you and gave you butterflies in your stomach, this was a feeling you hadn't had in a long time.
After yous had entered the bathroom you locked the door and finally decided to look at his face and you froze. It was Luke your ex-boyfriend, the one who thought you was cheating, which in actual fact your best friend at the time was gay, which you didn't know so he would have never of done anything with you anyway.
He pulled his shirt above his head and tossed you it, but instead of catching it, it just hit your chest and fell to the floor and he noticed. he smirked "Like what you see-" he cut himself of as he looked at you and his smirk dropped. "(Y/N)?!?" he questioned.
"hi-hey-hel- um, hi" you stuttered. "I'm sorry i did't relise it was you, how long has it been sinse we last, um, saw eachother?" Luke asked. Your eyes became watery as you remembered the last time you saw eachother, he thought you was cheating so he shouted at you and told you he never loved you anyway and walked out. "It's been about a year i think" you fake smiled.
"Oh, so, um, i know you probably feel awkward right now" he chuckled. "So how about we sit in here for abit and talk, you know, like, catch up?" Luke asked raising an eyebrow. "Uh, yeah, of course, but your um kinda shirtless" you pointed out and giggled lightly. "Its not like you haven't seen more" he winked.
"So lets play 20 questions?" Luke suggested. "Okay, you ask me" you smiled.
"So why are you at this party?" Luke asked
"My friend made me come along but she ditched me" you answered
"Do you still like penguins" he laughed a little
"Yes" you chuckled
"Um, do you, um have boyfriend" he asked suddenly turning shy
"No, um you was kind of my last boyfriend" you laughed at how pathetic that sounded. His face lit up as you said that.
"S-so why did you cheat on me?" he mumbled
"You wanna know the truth? I never did, i would never sleep with him, he was my best friend and too make you feel better he's gay" you snapped, a little bit more harshly intended.
Luke stood there frozen, with his jaw hanging. "Earth to Luke" you waved your hand in front of his face.
Luke started to walk closer towards you and closer, until your chest and his were touching. You felt him breathe down your neck as he whispered in your ear "You know, i've never loved anyone sinse, i've thought about you every day and when i relised it was you my heart started beating 50 times faster, i love you (Y/N)"
You leant back to look him in the eye as you leaned in and smashed your lips together, now this was a feeling you had missed.
that night Luke stayed the night at yours and you talked all night, he finally asked you to be his girlfriend again and what you didn't know was you guys was the perfect match. You and Luke would get married and have a little girl and the day you died of old age, was the way you had always wanted to die, you was cuddled into Luke in your nice warm bed and not so long after Luke passed away of old age, he passed away hugging a photo of you.
