"Did you know Calum and his wife have had a kid?" You smile. "They named it Ashton after you." You laugh.
"You remember our first summer together?" You laugh at the memory but it brings tears to your eyes. "You got kinda drunk one night, I never told you this but you probably wouldn't remember it anyway, you started twerking on everyone you saw. Then someone got annoyed and you ran off to the pool and stayed in it for about an hour. You kept trying to get me to bring your teddy down from our room."
"Our first Christmas you told me you loved me then we fell on a piece of ice and I bruised my hip." You laugh.
"Our first proper spring you asked me to move in with you and then we couldn't be bothered to unpack for ages so we spelt on a mattress on the floor for about a month. We never stocked the fridge properly and ate out a lot." You sigh, tears falling down your face.
"On my birthday you asked me to marry you. Y-you said you'd always be there." You cried. "You weren't. You aren't here and I miss you. I wonder if you can see me? If you can then I love you. I never stopped loving you."
"Bethany asks about you. She's really into music. I play her your singing, you know when you used to sing to my belly? I recorded it. She loves it. She can sing too. It's her 12th birthday this month."
"I really wish you were still here." I sigh and stroke his headstone. Ashton Fletcher Irwin. Son. Brother. Husband. Father. Hero.
