"The IRWINS?" Heather nearly screams and you stare at her like she had two heads. "Oh my god, I can't believe you work for them." she screeched.
"It's not that big of a deal." You reply. You don't see why it is?
"Then you must know Ashton." The sound of his name makes your heart pulse through your body and your breathing quickens. You get a negative feeling just by hearing his name. You nod to Heather. "Oh wow. So what's he like shut away from the public?"
"He's rude."
"Figures. I guess some things never change," she laughs.
"So I take it you know him?"
"Boy, don't I... He was practically the school's player. His name would be on the tongues of every girl you would talk to. He uses more girls than he uses spending time at parties." You almost gag hearing this information. You hated guys like that. He sounds like the typical school jock except that he doesn't look remotely close to what a jock looks like.
"That's gross," you mumble and she giggles.
"It was like a golden ticket was given to you if you scored with him. He's supposedly great in bed." You almost choke and she laughs harder as she continues. "But, god almighty, isn't he a hottie? I don't see why any girl wouldn't want to take a ride on the disco stick."
You wanted to tell her that you weren't one of those kind of girls but your order was being called out so you had to get up to get it.Now that Heather has told you these things, you didn't feel so hungry. He sounds so different than from what you read in his journal. His journal makes it sound like he's completely vulnerable but in public he's supposedly this player who can't keep it in his pants.
"So this must mean you're going to the party tonight?" You stare at Heather as you sit down with your food. You had no idea about a party.
"What party?"
"Oh god. You have no idea about it, do you?" You shake your head as she facepalms herself. "Ashton is throwing a party at his house tonight. I figured you would know since you work for them and all."
"How is he going to have a party when his mother is supposed to be home?" You ask her.
"His mom goes out with her friends every Saturday night from what I heard. That's why Ashton always throws parties." You stare at her in disbelief. "So are you going or not?"
"I don't know. I wouldn't have anything to wear and I didn't even get invited."
"Oh come on! He said you could bring anyone and I'll take you shopping after this. You clearly need it." You frown at her comment. "I didn't mean it like that. I just love shopping for people! It'll be fun so hurry up and eat!"
You sigh at your bubbly new friend and eat as quickly as you can. To be honest, you were excited to go shopping as well. You just needed to remind Heather that you couldn't spend much money or you'll be screwed. You wanted to go by your list or else you'll feel unorganized.
The moment you finished eating, Heather dragged you out of the café and into a random store. You didn't mind at all as soon as you saw all of the cute clothes.
"Now, let's shop till we drop!" Heather exclaims, snapping her fingers. That's when you lose her in the store. She darted so quickly between the clothing racks that you couldn't keep up with her.

It was almost 4:00 when you returned to the Irwin residence. Heather had dragged you into every store known to man and she even bought you a few outfits. You refused to let her buy you things but she was so thrilled to do it that you just let her. You decide you'll pay her back somehow soon. You found a place where you could buy some stuff for the guesthouse and you're pleased to say you still have $300 left from the money you brought with you. Plus, you'll be getting paid fairly shortly by Mrs. Irwin.
Your thoughts wander to Ashton. You hope he isn't still mad at you for what happened yesterday. You dragged your feet up the stairs and your palms began to get sweaty as you reach the end of the steps. That's when you could hear what sounded like a piano being played. For once, it's not the drums. Maybe he's in a lighter mood today. You slowly approach his door to knock but then something startles you.
The sound you had been hearing was definitely NOT a piano.
It was a girl. And she was loud too. The sound of the bed hitting the wall was getting louder. Almost as loud as the girl's moaning. She was screaming Ashton's name so many times it made you feel sick. And as you began walking away, you heard something that made your stomach sink to the floor.
"You love it when I fuck you like this, don't you, babe?" It was Ashton of course. His voice ran chills up your spine, making you feel dizzy. This was too much. How can he have sex with a girl that loud when there are kids in the house? Mrs. Irwin must not know about this or maybe she doesn't even care but that was disgusting.
You practically ran down the stairs and back outside where the car was parked. You couldn't get the sounds out of your head. It began to haunt you. His voice sounded so raw and scary and you hoped you never heard it again. It was too much. Too too much.
"You alright there?" A voice startled you and you look up to see a boy with black hair swooped across his forehead. He had tan skin and bushy eyebrows. He was sporting a black tank top and skinny jeans. You didn't know where he came from but as you looked behind him, you saw a black jeep parked on the side of the road. It must be his.
"Uh, yeah. I'm fine," you mumble and he chuckles.
"You look like you've seen a ghost." He walks toward you and looks inside the car. "Damn, you bought a shitload of stuff. What are you doing here?"
"I'm trying to move into the guesthouse but I can't carry the television."
"Into the guesthouse? Why are you moving there?"
"Because I work here and that's where I'll be living." You answer, getting slightly annoyed by the sudden questions. You're sick of having to explain yourself all the time.
"Weird. Well, would you like some help?" He smirks at you. He reminded you of Ashton.... And that's when it hits you.
"Are you a friend of Ashton's?" You question and he nods.
"Yeah, I was just about to head upstairs but you looked pale and shit so I wanted to help out. Listen, do you need help with any of this? I could carry the TV for you."
"Yeah, that'd be nice." You smile at him. He was a lot nicer than Ashton ever was. It's hard to believe that he's Ashton's friend.
He stares at you a moment. "What's your name?"
"Y/N." You answer.
"Cute. I'm Calum. Tell me, is Ashton watching TV like he told me he was?" You stare at him. You were caught off guard. It was like he was onto you or something.
"Umm, no, he's occupied with someone."
"Someone? Shit, he's with Jasmine again, that bastard." He starts laughing but you didn't join him. He lifts the television set out of the car like it was nothing. "Show me the way, pretty girl." He smirks.
