"But he who dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose."

3:00am

My alarm buzzed in my ear. What the hell? I didn't set my alarm.

I turned over to wake Jimin up, but he wasn't there.

What?

I turned the alarm off and switched the light on. Next to the alarm clock was a note.

"Sorry about the alarm,
Meet me downstairs,
Follow the rose petals
~ Jiminie"

I looked at the floor, where thousands of red, rose petals were scattered.

What was happening?

If I was having a rendezvous with Jimin I needed to look presentable.
I brushed my hair and put on some light makeup.

I obliged to the note and followed the petals, wearing my silk robe.

The petals stopped outside the lounge doors. There was a note on the door knob.

"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I love you Olivia,
Do you love me too?
~ Jiminie"

"Yes I love you." I mumbled as I opened the door, feeling confused.

The room was dark, lit by dim candle light an a bright fire.

Jimin was sat by the fire place, a bucket of ice and champagne by his side and rose petals all around the room.

The candles were scented vanilla and peach. Peach was one of my favourite scents.

Jimin turned around and smiled at me.

"Morning..." he whispered excitedly.

"Jimin, did you plan all of this? For me?" I asked, feeling overwhelmed.

He nodded and poured me a glass of champagne.

"Yes. Jungkook helped with the roses, he's always been romantic." Jimin added as he took a sip of champagne.

"But why?" I asked. I was probably getting annoying because I was asking so many questions.

"Because I love you." He smiled.

I sat down on the floor next to the roaring fire. He wrapped his arm around me.

"I want to show you something." He whispered.

There's more?

He took my hand and led me out onto the glass balcony.

The cold air caressed my face. We had a beautiful view of the city up here.

I could see him clearly in the light sky of dawn.

He was wearing skinny black jeans, a white shirt and black blazer.

He pulled a box out from the inside pocket of his blazer.

This moment was perfect.
