the next time i woke up, the sky was dark and the stars were out. i checked my phone to see that it was almost one in the morning. i decided that it wasn't the time to stay, so i took a sticky note from hoseok's room to tell you that i made soup for you on the stove. 

as i was about to step out, i hear shuffling behind your door. i bolt for my phone and jacket discarded on the couch and practically race for the door. i quietly close it and press my back against it as i feel my knees buckle. my heart is racing as i sit beside the door and i feel a harmless tear fall from my cheek. 

i hear you call my name from inside and i pull out my phone.
