~Jaide's Point of view~

I woke up very calmly, as if I had the most beautiful rest I could ever ask for.

You know that feeling when you just wake up from a dream, and you can't figure what it was that you were dreaming about? Yeah well... I wasn't feeling that. I remembered everything, yes everything. From the storm, to the cherry blossom lake, and to Letonin.

How could he have been real? It's... impossible. Gosh, I need stop putting my energy into this.

"Hey loser." I heard Cyrine say next to my couch. "You coming to eat? Navi cooked something awesome again."

"I'll be right there." I replied.

Getting off of the couch, I flinched at the incoming sunlight. Aromas of Navi's cooking quickly made their way towards me.

Strawberries, cinnamon, French toast, eggs, fried potatoes..... Oh boy...

"Morning." I greeted.

Navi waved at me, and Cyrine sat down saying her good morning at the counter.

"Is mom still sleeping?" I asked.

"She is." Navi replied.

"Want me to wake her up?" Cyrine asked.

"What? Of course not. I'm not gonna have you scare her to death." I said, chuckling.

"You know I will when you ask." She added.

I laughed, heading to my mom's room.

I knocked lightly on her door, despite it being open.

"Mom...?"

"No." she said abruptly.

I laughed to myself. "What do you mean no?"

"There is no way I'm getting out of this bed."

"Oh, come on... its Saturday." I said, trying to persuade her.

She sighed comically. "Jaide, I have two days off and I need at least one day of the week for an unhealthy amount of sleeping in order to function on this earth."

I laughed to myself; that's exactly what I used to tell her most of the time while I was at school, she always wanted to get me up in the morning for just about any casual thing you could think of just to get out of the house.

Now it's my break and look who's on the other side of the spectrum.

But of course it's fine, because being a top-notch doctor is like an online RPG game, you need wits on every corner of how to play the game in order to win. Or, at least that's how she always described it to me. But honestly, isn't that for just about anything?

I'm not sure; my mom is quite the gamer herself, so that could also be a component to her reasoning.

"Well, alright... is it okay if Navi takes us anywhere?" I asked.

She smiled warmly. "Sure, where are you guys going?"

"I'm not positive we're going anywhere, I'm just asking to make sure." I clarify.

"Jaide, come inside the room, I can barely hear you over Navi's cooking."

I parted the door a little more and walked to her mint-green bed; my mother was barely sitting up.

"Hey there." she said.

"Hey." I chuckled.

"Have fun okay? Be careful." She says.
