-"I'd rather you take your anger out on me if it meant you calming down after"

~Jaide's P.O.V~

I sat up from my rest, not believing what Illicero told me in my head.

Upon hearing footsteps, I made out the figure approaching me.

Navi was standing in front of me as I scanned him down in disbelief. His clothing was different. His normal home clothes were swapped with a tight, midnight blue leather jacket with golden shoulder armor. Accompanied by black jeans that trailed down to pitch leather boots.

Looking back to his face, I see that his once ocean blue eyes turned to a golden hue of hazel. And somehow... His hair got even longer? And even more conspicuous; on his left hand he was holding a golden blade, or axe, I couldn't tell which...

When I looked away from him and observed my surroundings, it lead to my most simple question yet.

...Where am I?...

We were in a strange house with orange-trimmed decorations, and sleek, black wallpaper. The place was huge, and it looked like we were in the living room, as there were cieling fans and flatscreen TV's hooked on the walls. The room had a platinum-steel kitchen, and a water dispenser refrigerator. I myself was sitting on leather bar chairs as I noticed when I woke up.

I looked back to Navi, whose face reflected nothing but remorse.

I understand everything, but... I don't want to accept it. It's absolutely absurd, and insane, and unnatural. No human being should accept something to this extent. The truth is a lie, it had to be.

"Don't be stupid Jaide." I heard Letonin say in my head. "If you really felt that way, my dream telepathy would've never reached you to begin with."

"What difference does it make?" I linked to him.

"Why on Earth you go to a random park upon an imaginary man's request if you believed he was never real at all? Why didn't you throw away the ring when you had the chance?"

I couldn't answer that. It's a fair question, but I can't bring myself to answer him.

"Listen to Navi Jaide, I know we lied, but we all did it to protect you and Cyrine."

"From what? What life threatening thing are we facing here?" I asked.

He went quite for a brief moment.

"Jaide, thats the problem. We don't know, and we're trying to figure it out. But even so, no one is going to kill you. No one is going to take you away from me. Understand?'

"And Cyrine?" I inquire.

"Yes, of course..... Ah! Crap!"

"Letonin?!" I sat up in fright, alarming Navi.

"Jaide! Come... over here already..."

The telepathy broke, and my heart sank.

Mother of hell...

"Navi."

He looked back at me. "...Yes?"

"It's true... isn't it? While I was asleep, Illicero's voice was in my head, explaining everything. Tell me it's the truth, that reapers truly exist."
