~Death's P.O.V~

I told him it would be a long story so he wouldn't be too anxious, give him some time to calm himself. I was worried Jaide's friend would be out here, but it seems Navi took care of that.

Even as I'm figuring out how to begin, I can sense that Jaide's mind has already adapted to what he's facing.

A remarkable feat, even for a human. To be able to handle all of whats been handed to him.

However...

I am the bearer of this next trail of which he will face. This alone will determine wether he is able to truly help my children, and his friend as well.

I look at him dead in the eye. "No interruptions." I warned. "I mean it. Any disturbance or odd demeanor will result in my absence of this area. Understand?"

He nodded his head.

"Good... then lets begin."

~~~
There was an unmemorable time, a time when even I ceased to exist. But then... I did. I had no clue of the magnitude of power I held. No clue of the magnitude of the choices I make... I am what you know as Death. The one who everyone hates because I take away their loved ones... The one everyone loves when I take away their enemies. And the one everyone goes to when they want to take their own lives themselves. After all, who acts as the guillotine when there is no executioner?
...That's me, the Grim Reaper
I existed when Life existed. I am its other half, I am Life's end. For we are two sides of the same coin.
In the beginning. I used to cry. I used to weep at all of the walking souls before me. For I knew they all had the same fate as long as the time came. Until... one day I realized that human deaths aren't bad. Its just part of the way of life. Plus, it is never me who is killing them. I take their souls, and lead them to their respectful place in the afterlife. A human dies when their souls can no longer function in that body of theirs, when that time comes, the soul slips out of the body, without the ability to regain entrance.
I'm getting a bit off topic... Ah yes, the beginning... You see, I once had to do this all alone. Harvesting demonic souls, sending them back to hell, fighting various other creatures that mean harm to these humans. It was easy, the fighting, the harvesting, the leading to the afterlife. What was hard was being in more than one place at once. Its a big world... and people are always dying...
So... God gave me a gift.
I remember that day so vividly... When I have almost passed out from exhaustion. And saw wings coming down towards me. I thought to myself: "What the hell did these demons dress themselves up as this time?"
He gave me an army of winged, heavenly human spirits, called Angels, so I wouldn't have to work alone.
Angels are heavenly spirits of humans that have risen unto heaven. They dwell there for an eternity of paradise. If they were to leave heaven for too long, they would be dragged down by the shadows of hell.
That's what made these angels special... For some reason, Hell had no interest in bringing down these heavenly beings like it did for the rest of them.
