"Hey Illicero, did you talk to Death?" Cyrine asked, looking at an indecent Illicero from the bathroom mirror."Yeah, he's gonna be there, don't worry." He assured.
"We need to invite Navi and Emillia too."
IIlicero shook his head. "Believe me, Emillia's not missing this. Crazy witch-bitch..." He mumbled to himself while shaving in front of the mirror.
She scoffed at him. "Come on now, she's a lot nicer now, at least nicer than you described her to be in the past."
Illicero shrugged. "I'm just glad she's got some sense now rather than that cold blood that's been running through her veins."
"You guys seemed totally calm together the day we fought-you-know-who."
"I threw a tantrum like a child inside, and I bet her innards screamed like hell."
Cyrine laughed at that, walking to the kitchen to make herself some tea.
Illicero was drying himself off until he heard an angry growl from the kitchen.
"Illicero!"
His body froze with brief fear. "Yes....?"
"You need to label these herbs..." Cyrine huffed.
"Did you pick the rosemary tea again?"
"Yes." She hissed at him.
"Sorry baby, I'll throw that stuff out."
"It's fine, I got it."
"Alright..." Illicero said softly with a relieving sigh.
Illicero felt his phone chime in his left pocket as he went to grab it.
"Hello?"
"...Master Kain."
"...Lucia Verde? Is that you?"
"Yes, I called to report that my condition has been cured."
"That's great Lucia, I'm glad to hear it."
"That's not all..." She said, her voice turning a darker tone. Even though you didn't deploy any, I'm afraid Crepsus's Discipuli murdered some of ours."
Illicero's mind slightly blanked at the news of his soldier's deaths. He sat down in his living room.
"Can you provide me a list? We'll give them a proper burial."
"Of course, Master Kain."
"Thank you for reporting to me, and I apologize for not being there to see you in at the base at the present time."
"That's okay, at least you and your girlfriend are on the same continent as us now. Which by the way, how was the U.S?"
"...Annoying." Illicero sneered.
..."Well, welcome back, Austrailia missed you."
Illicero hung up the phone after and treaded his way towards his couch to lay down.
Resting his eyes, he felt movement on the couch as his lover sat down on the other side, carefully holding a cup of green tea.
He smiled upon her sight. "You tired?"
Cyrine let out a breath. "It's been a long week..."
Illicero nodded his head with a smirk. "Yeah... it has been," He agreed, scooting toward her to give her a kiss. "But I'm glad we did this together... I'm truly happy..."
