"You're late," Joe yelled across the counter.
Jasmine smiled sheepishly."Sorry, Joe! It's not like we are having our early morning coffee rush yet. Besides, I brought someone who could get me back on your good side."
"Who is she?" Joe asked curiously.
"A girl who is capable of saving our poetry slam," Jasmine smiled cheekily.
"Okay, maybe she did save your ass. Please do sign up." Jasmine then turn towards Brooke once again and saw that she was pale as a ghost
"Are you okay?" Jasmine asked
"No, I have terrible stage fright."
"How could you, you dance?"
"That's different. I'm not performing my own words that mean something to me. I'm performing somebody else's work."
"Oh, come on I believe in you. You can do this!" Jasmine said to encourage her.
Brooke then released a deep sigh and signed her name on the clipboard. Jasmine then took the pen from her hand and sign her name too.
"To make you feel better, I'll perform in the slams too."
"That's not really helping."
"How about a cappuccino on the house. What about that?"
"Now that is debatable. How you know I was a cappuccino girl anyways? What if...," but before she could finish her statement, Jasmine cut her off.
"You liked your coffee as black as your men," Jasmine said tauntingly.
Brooke then laughed out loud. "Correction. Like my girls," she said with a winked.
Jasmine heart then stuttered in her chest wildly."Wait, you're a lesbian???" Jasmine asked in a daze.
"100%."
"Wow, isn't this an iconic way to come out to a person?"
"Yes, I guess it is."
"Well, since we're confessing and all; I'm 100% bisexual."
"I figure. Your flirting methods weren't subtle at ALL."
Jasmine laugh, "Who's to say I was flirting? I could be overly friendly."
"If you say so," Brooke said while rolling her eyes.
"One vanilla bean cappuccino on the house," Jasmine said while passing Brooke her drink.
Brooke smile and took a long sip of her drink. It was exceptional."Well, I've got to go. It was nice to meet you."
"It was a pleasure. See you Thursday," Jasmine said in a final goodbye.
Brooke then quickly exit the coffee shop and pressed her hand to her heart to stop the erratic beating. What was this feeling that she was feeling inside?
