All throughout her school day, Brooke could not shake the thought of Jasmine out of her mind. Something about her struck a huge interest in her. For some odd reason, she made her feel alive and it was rare for her to feel that way. Not ever since .... that traumatic event that left her a shell of what she once was.
"What's the sad look for?" whispered a familiar voice behind her ear. The scent of peppermint and a feminine perfume drifted towards Brooke nose, which resulted in calming her nerves. Lord knows, if it were a male behind her, this wouldn't have triggered such a nice reaction.
"It's nothing," Brooke said in a tense voice.
"Wow, that's some "nothing" to have you in such a defensive state, but hey who am I to be intrusive in your personal affairs. I'm nothing but a feeble stranger," Jasmine said while moving from behind her with a small shrug.
Brooke watched as Jasmine made her way in front of her and was mesmerized by how beautiful she was when she wasn't dressed for work."Well, you clean up nicely for school," Brooke commented.
Jasmine flashed her a cheeky smile before responding, "Of course I do. This place is my runway, and I'm the model who has to prove that I have what it takes to conquer any obstacle that's in my way.""Wow, I never picture you as a queen bee type."
"Oh, that's because I'm not. I just say that to boost my confidence. It's how I got myself through high school by giving off a false illusion that I'm more confident than what I actually am."
"Well, you could have fooled me. Your confidence is convincing enough to not only be an illusion," Brooke challenge as she attempted to discreetly check Jasmine out.
The dress Jasmine was currently wearing hug smug against her body. It revealed enough amount of smooth, velvety cleavage to make anybody weak to their knees. Not only were her boobs large in size, she literally looked like a snack dress up to satisfy anybody's need. It was then that Brooke understood all those Snickers commercial because she obviously was not herself when she was hungry, and at this moment it was clear who she was hungry for. But before her train of thought could consume her, Jasmine's words snapped her back to reality.
"Oh, honey. That's because if you keep looking at me like that, it would be hard to fake confidence. Nothing is better than a person finding you attractive to boost your self-esteem.
"Who's to say I'm attracted to you?"
"The eyes say it all and yours clearly say that you find me attractive. That's enough to boost anybody's confidence to be real."
"What if that's just how I naturally look?"
"Well, I'm sorry to whoever falls in love with you. They're going to have a hard time deciphering your emotions. Well, it was nice seeing your again Brooke, maybe we could meet up again before the slam," said Jasmine with a devious smile as she turns around to head down the hall.
Brooke said nothing and just watch Jasmine's brown figure disappear. It then hit her that she forgot to ask her why she was there? Wow.
