taehyung was walking me home after a day of playing around with jimin on the beach shore.

i told him all about mister byun, dubbing him as a nice stranger. how he saved me from ms.chae, brought me around town, and took me back home.

"he even bought me shoes!" i exclaimed, still in shock. they were a pretty black pair, shiny and new.

"but i don't wear them, since i'm too scared of damaging them." i told him, while looking down at my now washed, worn shoes.

taehyung didn't look too happy though, saying that he was the only guy i needed to save me.

i giggled at his pout.

"hey, yoonie i'll walk you to your porch this time." he said, smiling.

"mmmh." i hummed, nodding. we were swinging our joined hands slowly and soon, got to the front of my house.

"are you sure you want to come to the door taehyung?" i whispered on edge, the thought of how livid mother could be came to mind.

"oh please yoonie, i'm not scared of a mean old lady." he scoffed.

after knocking, the door creaked open, and my eyes locked with gentle ones.

"ah! mister byun!" i said in surprise, and he smiled at me.

"taehyung, this is the nice stranger that helped me-"

i looked over at taehyung and tried moving my hand to tap him, but his grip was stiff.

"taehyung? what's wrong, it's the nice guy i told you about?"

"yoona, i'll see you soon." taehyung said, voice void of emotion as his eyes were glued to his feet.

his hair stuck to his face and he got considerably paler.

"taehyung!" i called out hoping he'd come back, but it was too late.

he was gone.
