3RD PERSON POV:
"yoona,"
taehyung called for the dozenth time, gazing down at the sleeping girl in his arms. the two had been on the patio's floor for a while, and the girl was out like a light ever since 15 minutes ago.
yet despite how deep her sleeping was, she had always been conscious of taehyung's soft calls, at first believing they were part of a dream. she soon stirred in her sleep when he began swaying her.
pulling away from his embrace, yoona sleepily blinked up at him, as a few remaining tears escaped. her puffy eyes had then winced at how brightly the evening rays shone behind him.
"c'mon wake up, wake up." taehyung said, patting her cheek, and it was enough to snap yoona out of her daze. she believed crying did lessen the feeling,
but that didn't mean it disappeared.
"starting tomorrow yoona, i'm sweeping you away from this place, and we're spending the next six days together."
"doing whatever you want, having no restraint, laughing it all out." he continued.
"this sunday actually, is the annual mask festival, and i'm definitely taking you there."
yoona's eyes widened in surprise at what taehyung said.
"but m-mister b-byun comes on sunday?" yoona stuttered, struggling to even say his name.
"and so what?" taehyung said defiantly.
"i've ran away from my fear for too long, because i only had to watch out for myself. but now that, that man, is after you, i won't stand down."
he then stood, pulling her up with him.
she gave him a confused look when he took a step away,
and she gasped when he got on one knee before her.
"from the man who said he'll take you away, from the evil whose name you can't even say without getting scared,"
"i, kim taehyung, will protect you." he said, bowing his head as if he was a knight and she, his princess.
"i always did promise to beat up the monsters that scared you out of talking." he grinned playfully and looked up at yoona, who was still stunned speechless.
"so yoona, let me protect you." he finished, holding out a hand to her while giving her an eye smile.
it took only a couple of seconds for yoona to take his hand, and interlace her fingers with his own. she also kneeled before him, and her bangs had covered her face.
a strong breeze had then blew, causing taehyung to gasp, and open his eyes. it was then his turn to be stunned speechless.
the nearby tree leaves had danced around the two, and yoona's hair spilled beautifully from her shoulders. her bangs were messy, yet framed her face in the best way, and her eyes had shone exceptionally brighter. it was as if time had stopped for taehyung.
"let's protect each other, taehyung." she said with gratitude and happiness straight from the bottom of her heart, with a smile who's beauty rivaled the sun itself.
and just like magic had his cheeks bloomed with red roses, as he nodded at her offer.
