Not Alone: A Starkid Fanfiction

chapter four

Lauren whisked me away along with Bonnie, Jaime and Devin.
"So Ella" Bonnie said to me "have you ever been to Pizza City".
"Nope never went before".
"Oh my Gosh, Ella you are missing out, it is the best pizza in the whole wide world. Lauren! We're taking Ella for pizza!".

I laughed, Bonnie was very enthusiastic, she was really kind and friendly too.

We arrived at Pizza city and got in a booth together. "So Ella tell us about yourself" Jaime said.

"Well I'm from Boston city and I've lived there my whole life, I study history and Spanish here in Michigan, I have family in Ireland and I often go visit them as well,  I enjoy reading, I love everything Disney and Peanut butter is my favourite thing in the world".

"And how long have you been singing?" Devin asked, she had a southern accent.
"Literally since I saw the flier for the musical, that was my first time ever performing".
"What the hell!" Lauren shouted, people from other tables looked over and I burst out laughing.

"How have you only been singing for like two days, You're amazing!".
"I just never had the confidence to sing I guess" I said "I saw the poster and thought maybe I should try it and I'm so glad I did".

"And we're glad too, you're such a strong voice to have on the team".

We ordered our pizza and they arrived pretty quickly. It looked and smelled delicious.  I took a large bite out of my slice. "Oh my god" I shouted "this is the nicest thing I have ever eaten!".
"I told you" Bonnie said making us all laugh.

When lunch was over I returned home and lay down on my bed. I took out my phone, I took the slip of paper joey gave me out of my pocket and I read it.

I couldn't believe it, he put a kiss and a smiley face at the end of it too. I typed his number into my phone and wrote him a text.

Hey Joeyy! Ella here :)

It wasn't long before I got a text back from him

Heya Ella, I was beginning
To wonder if you were ever
Going to text me hehe :( :)

I typed back a message.

Soz Joey, I'm just back from
Being out with the girls :0:)

He texted back within seconds

How was it?  Maybe we
Could talk about it if we
Went on a walk around campus?

I looked at the time,  it was only seven o'clock. 

Sure, meet you outside in
Five mins? :)

See you there :))

I grabbed my jacket and went down the stairs of my building, I met joey just outside.
"Hey Ella" he beamed.
"Hey joey" I smiled.

We began to walk.
"I hope you weren't busy, I just was bored of being stuck inside, and I guess I kind of wanted to see you".
I smiled.
"I wanted to see you too".

We walked around campus for ages talking. Time seemed to go so fast when I was with joey. We had walked to a pond a good bit away from the buildings. We sat down at a bench beside the pond.

Joey continued telling me a story

"..so then Darren and I basically ninja attacked Lauren and Jaime, covering them in whipped cream".

I burst out laughing "So this prank war is still going on?".

"To this very day, The girls got us back a couple of weeks ago, but the boys and I might have something planned".
I looked up at him and he winked at me. I wonder what him and the guys were planning.

"I'd watch out joey, I am a badass pranker".
He laughed "We'll see".

As we were sitting beside the pond a rain shower suddenly appeared and started pouring all over us.
I pulled my hood over my head.
"Come Ella, to the trees!" Joey shouted grabbing my hand.

He pulled me over to the trees, we were sheltered I'm there.
"Well I wasn't expecting that" he said.
I realised he still hadn't let go of my hand and honestly I didn't want him to let go.
