Chapter Fifty Five

JOEYS POV

Ella and I had to stay in New York until five o'clock that evening. That was when we could get a flight to Michegan again. We stayed in the airport most of the day. I sat in the airport cafe talking to her. After awhile Ella spoke.
"I've missed this Joey, talking to you" She smiled.
"I've missed you" I said.

"Jo.." I said after awhile. "Yeah Ella?" He answered.
"The last night, at your apartment, was Jaime with you" Ella quietly.
"No she's wasn't" I said "I was
on Skype with my mom, she was crushed when we broke up, I just didn't want to get her hopes up".

At around half four I got a call from Lauren.
"Hey Joey, I'm with Joe here, we're about to go into the theatre for today's sound check, we're going to get some food and bring in some, do you want us to pick you up something?" She said.
"Well yeah Lauren that's the thing.. I'm kind of in New York right now.." I said awkwardly.
"YOURE IN NEW YORK" Lauren screamed so loudly that I had to pull the phone away from my ear.
"Yeah.." I said quietly.
"Youre with Ella aren't you" She sad bitterly.
"Yeah I went after her Lauren".
"Joey what the hell did I tell you! I told you not to! Joey whatever about Ella missing the show, you can't do that! You're Ronald Weasley! You are the main role. Joey if you're not on the next plane to michegan I will personally go to new York and kick that stupid ass of yours".
Lauren was really pissed off.
"Listen I'll be home" I said.
"Joey I just can't deal with you right now" She said.
"Lauren? Lauren?" I said.
"Hey man" Joe said who was now on the phone.
"Joe!" I said.
"Listen Lauren is just worried about the show, she's not actually mad, don't take her serious" he said.
"Do take me serious!" I heard Lauren scream in the background.
"She's too short to take serious Joe" I said laughing.
"WHAT DID HE JUST SAY! HAND ME THAT PHONE! HAND ME THAT PHONE!".
I quickly hung up the phone.
"She's pretty mad I guess...".

We boarded the plane at five but it got delayed, and didn't take off until half past. I was nervous the show started at seven thirty and we would arrive at seven. It would take us twenty minutes to get to the stage. We were really cutting it fine.

As the plane took off Ella took my hand. "Are you okay Jo?".
"Yeah of course I am, Nervous that's all".
"Yeah I'm the same".

We arrived at the airport at 7 o'clock sharp. It took us ten minutes to get Ellas suitcase. It took us five minutes to find my car (i forgot where I parked). We were already short on time. I drove a quick as I possibly could, we pulled up at the theatre at 7.35, five minutes after the show started. We raced backstage where I met an angry Lauren.
"Quickly Jo get your freaking costume on, we already started the first song. Go! go! go!".
I didn't reply as Ella and I both ran into the costume room. I put on my costume and Ella was frantically looking for hers.
"Where the hell is mine" She said.
"Oh crap Jaime must have it, it's too late to get it off her" I said putting on my jumper.
"Shoot, just worry about yourself Joey get to the stage now!".

Taking her advice I ran to the side of the stage. The first song was almost over.
"Where were you?!" Jaime whispered.
"New York" I said quietly.
"What the hell were you doing there".
"I went after Ella".
"I see.." Jaime said, her face falling.
I felt a stab of guilt, I knew Jaime really liked me.
"Jaime.." I said.
"Its fine..".

At the end of the night everyone was on a Buzz. The play went just as successfully as the first. We all gathered backstage.
Lauren came up to me and hit me on my arm angrily. "Ow!" I screamed.
"Good job tonight" She laughed, a smile appearing on her face.
I had to admit I was glad she wasn't angry at me anymore.

Everyone was chatting to one another. Ella came beside me.
"Good job Joey" She smiled.
"Thanks El" I grinned.
Suddenly someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and Jaime was standing there shyly.
"Hey Joey" She said.
"Jaime!" I said.
"Listen, I just want you to know. I'm really happy for you and Ella. It doesn't take much to realise that you are meant for one another" She said smiling slightly.
I was thrilled to have her approval.
"I love you Jaime" I said giving her a hug.
"Love you too ya weirdo" She laughed.

ELLAS POV

I was surprised that everyone was being so nice to me after everything that happened but I was thrilled.
I finally felt happy, I was surrounded by all my friends, everyone was happy and most importantly I had Joey, and I was never going to let him go.
This was the moment I realised.
I'm 'Not Alone'...
