Chapter Fourty Seven

JOEYS POV

As I was leaving rehearsals I was called back by Walker.
"Yo joe" he called.
"Hey man" I smiled.
"I'm having a small gathering tonight, we will order takeout and watch a movie".
"Yeah sure, who's all going" I asked.
"Um Lauren, Brian, Meredith, Jaime, Jim and Dylan".
"..Ella?" I asked curious.
"We actually thought we wouldn't invite her because you know like yous have the whole history and we know that if she comes her boyfriend will have to go and we'll he's kind of a Buzz kill. Lauren and I were chatting to him earlier and well he is just kind of rude".
"I've never agreed with you more" I laughed.  "I'll be there at seven.
"See you then Joey".

At seven I hopped in my car and drove to Joes.
I knocked on his apartment and Lauren opened the door.
"Oh hey Joey" She grinned "Joeys here" She called.
I followed her into the apartment.  Everyone was there. Joe was sitting on the sofa along with Jim and Dylan and Jaime was sitting on the floor flicking through a takeout menu. Brian and Meredith were also there going through Joes Shelf of DVD'S.
"Hiya guys" I smiled as I entered the room "What's going on".
"Well we're trying to pick a movie to watch and deciding what to order" Jim said.
"Sounds fun" I said sitting down beside Jaime. "What are we ordering?".
"Chinese food" She said handing me the menu.
"What's eveyone getting?".

Ten minutes later Lauren came back into the room after placing our order.  "So bad news guys" She sighed "The Chinese restaurant can't deliver so someone's going to have to pick it up".
"I'm not" Jim said. "Same here" Dylan laughed. "Meredith and I aren't going" Brian smiled. "And this is my house'' Walker said. "And this is my boyfriend" Lauren smirked. "And I think that leaves Jaime and Joey. Which one of you is going?".
"Well both go" Jaime said standing up "Its fair" She laughed.
"Ugh fine" I groaned, even though I was actually pleased.

Jaime hopped in the front seat of my car. I jumped in and put the keys in switching it on.
"Letsa go" I said in an Italian accent.
"Whatever Mario" Jaime laughed.
I put my foot on the pedal and pulled out of the car park. 
"I can't wait to get food" Jaime groaned. "I'm haven't eaten a thing all day".
"The last week of rehearsals are always the worst aren't they" I laughed.
"Well today wasn't so bad" Jaime smirked.
"I guess that's true" I smiled.

We pulled up outside the restaurant and we both got out of the car.
We walked into the restaurant and I was suddenly pulled aside by Jaime. "Okay Joey, I just saw Ella and Nate standing at the takeout counter" She said as we ducked put of sight.
"Crap" I whispered "What are we going to do?".
"Well I mean Joey you cant hide from them forever and everyone is waiting for the food, so I say we just go in there".
She was right, we couldn't hide forever. I had to go in.
"Let's do this" I said entering the room. Jaime came to my side. I looked at Ella who was watching as we came through the door.
"Oh hey jaime" She said when she saw Jaime beside me.
"Oh hi Ella" Jaime said awkwardly.
I continued up to the counter, Jaime was left standing there by herself with Ella and Nate. I could still hear them.
"What are you doing here" Ella asked her.
"Getting food.. obviously" Jaime said smartly.
I couldn't help but let out a small laugh. I looked up and Nate was glaring at me.
A person appeared behind the counter and called out an order.
"Okay Two Chow Mein, a portion of fried rice, two boxes of noodles, curry sauce, sweet and sour, prawn toast, dumplings and spring rolls" She called.
"That's ours" I said grabbing the bags.
"That's a lot of food, is it just the two of yous?" Ella said. "Yup!" Jaime said not wanting to tell her about the gathering "Me and Joey have a big appetite am I right joey?".
"You sure are Jaime" I laughed walking out the door, Jaime following me.

"Did you see her face" She laughed "She was so confused".
"Youre evil" I said to her.
"Thanks Jo, I try".

We hopped back into the car and drove off again. We arrived at the apartment and we took the food bags upstairs.
"Finally" Joe shouted as we walked inside.
Everyone tore into the food. Brian put a movie on and we all sat eating the food. I sat on the floor beside Jaime digging in.

Halfway through the movie I stood up and went into the kitchen. I poured myself a glass of water and leaned against the counter drinking it.
I took out my phone and started flicking through my messages. Five minutes later Jaime came into the kitchen carrying some empty food containers.
"Are you okay?" She asked shoving them in the trash.
"Oh yeah, just distracted" I said showing her my phone.
"Oh right" She said coming up beside me.
"The movie is pretty boring" She sighed.
"Yeah it is" I laughed looking at her. I had never looked at Jaime the way I did now, everytime I was with her I forgot about everything. Since we kissed today everything changed.
She looked back at me. I turned to her and put my hand on her waist. Pulling her closer to me. A part of me expected her to push me away, but she had no objections. She put her hand on my shoulder. We moved closer to each other. We finally pressed our lips together, getting lost in the moment. 

We were suddenly interrupted by someone almost shouting at the door. "Oh my god!".
