Not Alone: A Starkid Fanfiction

Chapter twelve

In the morning Joey had to leave to get changed, he was coming back here so we could go to rehearsals together.
I was dreading it, it could be someone on the cast that saw Darren and I,  what if they had told someone about it!

Time flew by and there was still no sign of Joey. There was ten minutes left until practice started.
I grabbed my backpack and headed over to Joeys building.
I got to his room and heard voices from inside, one sounding exactly like a woman's.

I knocked on the door. No answer. This was really bothering me.  I knocked again but louder. This time joey answered the door.
"Joey were going to be late!" I said.
"Yeah Ella im;-". He was cut off by a voice coming from inside the room "Joey who is it?".
"Who is that?!" I said. It was definitely a woman in there.
Just then she appeared beside joey. She was a beautiful girl around our age.
"Oh this is Ella, is it? Joey you are right, she is a beaut".
She spoke with an almost fake accent.

I looked up at Joey "Ella this is Jessica,  an old friend of mine" He explained.

"Pleasure to meet you darling" She said offering me her hand to shake. I declined and started to speak again. "Well we're going to be late so we need to go now".

"Oh shit yeah, Jessica why don't you come with us? The gang will be thrilled to see you again" Joey said to her.
"Oh my word, wouldn't that be lovely, I would love to come!".

She followed joey out the door. When we got to the car, she rushed to the front seat to be beside him. I was in the back, excluded.

When we got to the theatre, she went inside and everyone was thrilled to see her.
"Jessica so wonderful to see you".
"How long are you in town?  Will you be here for the show?".
"Jess! We missed you so much!".

Who was this girl? Why did everyone love her so much?

As soon as everyone settled. Matt decided that we would do a full run through of the show, so that we could get jessicas opinions.

We went through the whole show, and I'd say it was almost perfect. Jessica stood up and congratulated everyone.

"Oh my word you guys are absolutely wonderful, Darren amazing job, Bonnie beautiful as usual, Extraordinary Joey!" She exclaimed, then she got to me, "Ella good job! Just keep trying".

No way did she seriously just say that! I was about ready to slap her across the face. She quickly moved on to the others and told them what she thought. 
At the end of rehearsals joey came up to me "Hey Ella, Jess and I are going out for a reunion dinner, are you coming with?".
I didn't want to go anywhere with her.
"Im actually staying here" I said bluntly.
"Well okay.. See you later though right?".
"Yeah sure". He gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek before leaving me.

Soon all members of the cast had left, except for me and Darren.
"So what do you think of her?" Darren asked.
"A bitch. Did you hear why she said about my performance 'try again' yeah like she could do any better! Who even is this girl?!" I said angrily.

"She used to be a starkid before she broke up with Joey and left for new york" He replied.

I gasped "Wait what!  They used to be together! Ugh this is karma for kissing you isn't it".

"Don't over think it ella, it's going to be alright".

"Is it Darren? I just let her go out for dinner with my boyfriend, did you see her all day? She can't take her hands off him!".

Darren sat beside me on the stage.

"Don't worry Ella. Nothing will happen. I trust joey".

"If I did it, what's stopping him from doing it too"..
