Chapter twenty

ELLAS POV

I was disappointed when everyone had to go, they really made my day.
Joey still stayed with me even though it was obvious that it was a challenge for him to stay awake.

"Joey please go home, you're so tired, I'll be fine" I said, he looked wrecked, I wanted him to go home, I didn't want anything to happen to him.

"I'm not leaving" He yawned "We don't have much time together, I need to enjoy every moment of being with you".

"Joey please don't worry, it's not like I'm going to be gone forever, you're visiting me and I'll do everything I can to be with you".

"Darren said that you don't think I can look after myself" I laughed.
"He wasn't meant to tell you" She laughed.
"Honestly Ella, I don't think I will be able to look after myself".

JOEYS POV

I left to go get a drink for Ella. I went to the vending machine outside and purchased a bottle of juice.
I went back into the room and was shocked to see Jessica towering over Ella.
"Jessica?! What the hell" I said confused.
I didn't know how I felt about Jessica after the whole incident when she exposed Ella,  and I knew Ella didn't like her.
"Oh joey" She said rushing over to me "You probably weren't expecting to see me here, but after I heard what happened to Ella I just felt so guilty, I know Ella and I got off on the wrong foot but I came here to tell her how sorry I was" She exclaimed.

"I think it would be better if you left" I said looking away from her.
"Joey can I please just talk to you in private".
I looked over at Ella, she nodded slightly.

I went outside the door and stood in front of the window that you could see into Ellas room from.
"Joey what are you doing? She cheated on you! And you're still with her, she has you wrapped around her finger! When are you going to realise that she's not good enough for you!".
"Jessica,  I love her and regardless of what happened or happens that's never going to change".
"Maybe I'll just have to show you" She said moving closer and cupping my face in her hand and kissed me. I quickly pushed her off of me, I knew that Ella was watching through the window.
"Go" I said quietly. I was mad.
"Didn't you like that" She said smirking.
"Go!" I said raising my voice.
Jessica looked disgusted, "Don't come crawling back to me when she cheats on you again!" She cried running away.

What did I ever see in her.

I dreaded what Ella was going to say as I reentered the room.
"Ella I know you--".
"You left the door a tad open you know, I heard what you said about loving me".
"Well it's the truth..".
"And then she kissed you".
"And what..". She was being strangely quiet, I was really worried.
"..and you and you wrecked her!" She said bursting out laughing "Did you see her face, that was hilarious!".

I let out a huge sigh of relief.
"Jesus Christ Ella, you scared me" I said sitting beside her.
"I love messing with you" She said stroking my face with her hand.

I leaned in and kissed her softly, when I pulled apart she cutely smiled. "Jessica is way better" I said.
Her face fell.
"..and that was me messing with you" I laughed.
"Youre a jerk" She laughed. I leaned in kissing her again and again.
I wanted to embrace her for as long as I could.
