Chapter Fifty Two

JOEYS POV

I clutched my nose. I was confused. Nate had a serious problem. How could he do that? He was a lunatic.
"Are you okay Joey?" Jaime asked handing me a bundle of tissues.
I pressed them against my nose. 
"I'm okay, listen I'm sorry about shouting it out that we are--".
"It's okay, people were going to find out eventually" She said smiling "as long as you're okay now that's all that matters".
Just then Matt came backstage.
"OH MY GOD JOEY WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED YOUR FACE! YOU HAVE TO GO ON STAGE TONIGHT!" Matt screamed.
"I'm okay thanks for asking Matt" I said sarcastically.
"That Nate guy came in and went crazy on Joey" Joe said.
"What? That's insane! Where's Ella?" He asked.
"She just stormed out too" Darren said.
"What the hell! She better be back by tonight. Whatever man just fix your face and Jaime you're taking Ellas part until she comes back. Now let's get on with our last rehearsal" Nick said returning to the stage.

"Okay man let us see the damage" Darren said.
I lifted the tissues away from my face.
"Oh damn" Jaime whispered. 
"That's really bad" Darren sighed.
"Do you think it's broken?" Jaime asked. 
"No guys! I can't have a crooked jaw and a broken nose" I moaned.
"But I love your adorable Jaw" Jaime smiled.
"Awhh" I laughed.
"Well I don't think it's broken" Darren said ignoring Jaime and I "Just a bit bloody that's all".
"Wonderful" I said sarcastically.
Lauren came over and handed me a wet towel.
"You okay Jo?" She asked.
I pressed the towel up to my face.
"Yeah I'm fine".
"What was up with that anyways" Joe said putting his arm around Lauren.
"I don't even know, I guess he just thought I was the reason that Ella and him broke up" I said.
"..but that's crazy! He's the rudest person I've ever met, it's his own fault if Ella broke up with him!" Lauren exclaimed.
"That's true, he was a jerk to all of us" Joe agreed.
"I think he's a snob to be honest" Darren said.
"Come on guys let's just forget about it" I said taking the towel away from my face "Nick's waiting".

Later that night I stood nervously at the side of the stage. Jaime came up beside me. She was dressed as Ginny. "Where's Ella" I whispered. "She never came back, I have to play her role" She said quietly.

The crowd clapped as Darren came on stage. I was now as nervous as ever. Jaime had barely practiced the role. I was scared that we would mess up. I just wanted things to go well.
"Good luck always Jaime" I said giving her a hug.
"To you too" She smiled
"Did somebody say Ron?" I said going out on stage, Jaime latched to my side.

After the show everyone was really pleased with our performance. Even Jaime done an excellent performance even though she had only done the part for a day. We were all on a Buzz as Nick gathered us all together to talk to us.
"So guys congratulations on the wonderful performance yous guys did today! We're all really happy with you guys and especially well done to Jaime who done her part wonderfully even though she only had a days worth of rehearsals" Nick said.
"Brilliant job Jaime" I smiled.
"Thank you Jo" She grinned.
I drove off and I parked outside my apartment and I looked across the street. I wondered if Ella was at her apartment. I hesitantly walked over to her building and went inside. I went up the stairs and arrived at her door. I immediately was unsure whether I should knock or not. I took a deep breath and knocked at the door. No answer. I knocked again. Still no reply. I was admittedly worried, where could she have gone. I went to the next door over and knocked. A girl answered the door.
"Oh hello, Joey right? Ellas boyfriend?" She said answering the door.
"Ex boyfriend" I said correcting her.
"My name is Elaine by the way" She smiled "How can I help you Joey?".
"Actually I was wondering if you saw Ella today?" I asked. 
"Well I saw her walking past my Chemisty building and she was lugging around a big suitcase or something. She looked pretty upset to be honest and well I haven't seen her since".
"Where could she have gone" I muttered. "Thank you anyways" I said.
"Yeah sure I hope you find her.. Actually Joey could I maybe have your number? I mean just in case I see her" She said.
I thought about it for a moment.
"I'm sure that's okay" I said. 
She smiled and took out her phone. I typed in my number and handed it back to her.
"Thank you Joey" She smiled. 

I left the building and thought for a moment. Should I go find her? What if she was hurt? Thoughts raced through my mind.
