Evan used his hip to push open the door, bags of groceries in his hands from the shopping trip he had just been talking into going on.

"Jonathan!" Evan yelled once he made it inside, "Can you help me bring in all of these groceries? Please?" Evan kept walking down the front walkway and then into the kitchen, setting the bags in his hands onto the island counter. He heard the movement on the floor above him, then as he walked back out to the front door he heard Jonathan coming down the stairs.

Jonathan followed Evan out the front door, both of them grabbing bags from the back of Evans car. Evan grabbed a box from the back and Jonathan's eyes lit up like paper doused in gasoline. He gasped comically before looking at Evan with big eyes.

"You got us doughnuts?!" Jonathan exclaimed, excitedly jumping.

Evan laughed at the antics of his boyfriend. "Yes, I got us some because you asked for them and I haven't had them in a while either, so I thought a little treat or something would be nice."

"It's very nice. They look very nice," Jonathan muttered, starting to walk back to the house.

Evan smiled, closing the trunk of his car and shutting the garage door behind him. He walked back to the front door and then into the kitchen, setting the box of doughnuts onto the counter. Jonathan was about to take one, but Evan slapped his hand away.

"You don't get to one any of them until everything else is put away, okay? You need to help me a little bit more before you get that."

Jonathan huffed. "Fine," he agreed, helping Evan put away all the food he had gotten on his shopping trip.

"I'm going to go watch some Netflix," Evan said, taking a doughnut.

"Okay. I'll just go back to what I was doing before," Jonathan said, grabbing two of the doughnuts and running upstairs. Evan sighed, put the plastic bags away, then went to go sit out in the living room and binge watch a show on Netflix.

Evan didn't notice the multiple times Jonathan came back down for another doughnut. When Evan finally decided that he wanted to go upstairs to watch something with Jonathan, or maybe just cuddle, he walked back through the kitchen to throw something away and his eyes spotted the box of doughnuts. He opened it, expecting to see four gone. One for the one he had eaten, and three from Jonathan, because he knew that, even though Jonathan had originally taken two, he'd be back for more. What he did not think he was going to see was six missing, meaning Jonathan had eaten five doughnuts.

Evan ran upstairs, knocking on the door to his room, seeing Jonathan watching something on his computer. He was probably just editing a video or something. Evan put his hands over Jonathans eye, and he could feel his cheeks rise when he smiled.

"What are you doing?" Jonathan asked, laughed. He took Evans hands off of his face and just held onto them.

"Actually, I was wondering if you were feeling okay."

"Why? I'm feeling just fine. Did you get sick?"

"No, but I'm expecting you to get sick because you ate five of my motherfucking doughnuts."

Jonathan froze. He laughed nervously. "What are you talking about?"

"Jon, don't lie. I saw the box."

Jonathan turned around in his chair, looking sheepish. Evan just laughed and kissed him, able to taste the chocolate icing from a doughnut he had eaten earlier.
