A/N
So, I've never written Brohm before, but I'm giving it a shot. Feedback would be amazing on this one, and anything I write, really. Just especially this one, cause I've never written the pairing before. This might be a bit out of character, so for that, I do apologize, I'm just testing out the waters.----------
Bryce tapped his hands away on the table, a small smile on his face as he watched the cat he had let inside jump around. His eyes moved around, counting the cats.
One, two, three, four... But, there were five of them. What happened to the fifth cat?
Bryce stood up and walked out of the kitchen, seeing the last cat, the fifth one, running towards the front door. He chased after it, skidding to a halt when he saw a familiar figure standing in the doorway, the cat rubbing itself along their ankles.
"Uh, Bryce, why is there a cat in our house?"
Bryce rubbed his neck sheepishly, another cat coming out of the kitchen and into the hallway. "Well, Ryan, I couldn't help it, they just looked really cute and hungry."
"They?"
"There's five of them."
"What?! Five- Bryce," Ryan groaned.
"Sorrrrry," Bryce whined.
Ryan looked annoyed. "Bryce, we can't keep them. We don't have the room for cats, and even if we did, I wouldn't let you keep them. They're way too much to handle, and you know that. Get them out."
Bryce walked forwards and picked up the Maine Coon that had been intertwining itself between Ryan's legs.
"Just look at him. He's so cute," Bryce argued, holding up the cat for Ryan to see.
Ryan sighed. "Bryce..."
"Ryan, please?"
Ryan groaned and hit his head on the wall. "But they're expensive! We don't have that kind of money. No!"
Bryce looked over at Ryan with sad eyes. "Please," he whined. He actually looked like he was going to cry for the sake of the cats.
Ryan sighed. "We can keep that one,," he said, pointing to the cat in Bryce's arms, "but if you so much as attempt to get another one, I will kick all of them, and you, out of this house."
"But it's not healthy to only have one. He'll get lonely."
Ryan narrowed his eyes. "Bryce, if you get another one, they will both be your responsibility, and yours only. If one of them pees somewhere they shouldn't, you're going to clean it. They break something, you pay."
"Yay!" Bryce cheered. He handed Ryan the cat he was holding and ran off to get another. This time he came back holding up a Bombay.
"You're sure these are the two you want, then?" Ryan asked.
Bryce nodded.
"Okay," Ryan said, "then we have to give them names."
"Well, the Maine Coon can be..." Bryce started, thinking.
"Ohm?" Ryan proposed.
Bryce raised an eyebrow. "Ohm? Why Ohm?"
Ryan shrugged. "I don't know."
"That's fine, I guess. What about the bombay?"
Ryan shrugged. "I don't care."
Bryce thought for a moment, then his face lit up. "Got it! How about Stygian? It refers to the River Styx in Greek myths, and it means, like, very dark, or something."
"Stygian..." Ryan muttered, testing out the name. "Sure. Sounds cool."
Bryce smiled, kissing Ryan's cheek. "Yes!"
"Ohm and Stygian..." Ryan muttered. "What strange names."
Ryan dropped Ohm onto the floor, and Bryce let Stygian go as well.
"Well, now we need to go get the other cats out of the house, then buy some stuff for them and get them checked out at the vet," Ryan said.
"Can't you go do it?" Bryce asked.
"No, and because you asked that, you're going to do it alone. Bye," Ryan said, shoving his boyfriend out the door.
Bryce whined, but grabbed his keys and left the house.
Ryan shooed the other cats out of the house, seeing how Ohm and Stygian seemingly wanted to stay with him.
He picked up Ohm, Stygian rubbing at his ankles just like Ohm had been doing earlier. Ryan sighed. He really needed to stop letting Bryce get his way. If he kept this up, they'd probably be buying a Lamborghini in the very near future.
