Early Morning

Brian wasn't usually one to get up early. Normally it was Brock who woke up early and got ready for his day, sometimes making breakfast and sometimes not, depending on whatever the two had decided they'd be doing, but it was rare Brock would get up early and then make a big breakfast, but to say it was rare for Brock to do it meant says that Brian doing it seemed literally impossible. He never woke up early and made breakfast, until one morning when he did.

Brian had gone to bed early with a pretty bad headache from some family stress back in Ireland, and Brock had stayed up late recording somethings for his channel before finally collapsing into bed next to his boyfriend.

So, instead of Brock waking up around 7:00, which was really early considering Brian usually woke up around 9:30-11:00, it was Brian who's eyes lazily fluttered open at 7:18 am.

Brian was tempted to close his eyes again and fall into an abysmal sleep, but the breathing from the man whose arms were wrapped loosely around his waist offered up another idea.

Brian gently detached himself from his lover and tucked him back in, using a pillow to replace where he was so Brock still had something to snuggle.

He quietly made his way downstairs in his sweatpants and into the kitchen, where he got out various things he could use to make a large breakfast. He figured, since he never got a chance, he'd make Brock breakfast.

So, Brian got out the eggs and the bacon, and some pancake mix and a pan or two. He made breakfast with ease, despite the fact that he never cooks, and he even makes Brock a fresh cup of hot chocolate with sugar and French vanilla cream, the way Brock likes it the most, and creates himself some coffee. He headed back up to their room around 7:45, because the eggs are finishing up cooking and he can leave them because everything else is set up.

Brian opened up the door to their room to find Brock with bleary eyes, squinting at his phone. He looks up to see Brian and a smile spreads across his face. He stretched and put his phone down, snuggling back into the pillows beneath him.

"G' mornin'," Brock mumbles, and Brian smiles.

"Good morning, sunshine," Brian says, leaning on the door frame. "I made some breakfast for you. I even took the time to make you hot chocolate."

Brock hummed. "I'm tired, though." He opened his arms with a pout of his face, looking like a lost puppy.

Brian smirked. "Well, then, I'll take care of that." He walked over to Brock's side of the bed and flung off the covers. Brock's form shuddered at the sudden cold, but Brian just grunted and swung the American into his arms, causing him to yelp.

Brian just laughed and carried Brock downstairs, setting his into one of the chairs at the table. He handed him his cocoa and Brock took a small sip as Brian served him his food. Brian gave Brock a gentle kiss on the forehead, then sat down himself, smiling as he ate his food with Brock.

In this moment, Brian decided it was okay to wake up early, as long as he got to see Brock's stupid little smile.
