Chapter 21

They say time passes by so fast if you’re enjoying what you’re doing and that’s absolutely true. After two weeks of non-stop rehearsal, they were now on their last day. It’s the dress rehearsal and the people involved in the play couldn’t be happier to try out their costumes.

“Oh my gosh, Minaring! You look so pretty!” Nayeon exclaimed when she saw Mina came out of the dressing room.

“Thank you unnie! You look gorgeous yourself.” Mina praised her unnie shyly.

“I know, right? Hey, if I were you I’ll be sure to look at Youngjae’s reaction later.” Nayeon teased while they’re headed to the stage.

“Eh? What do you mean?” Mina asked, suddenly nervous. It slipped out of her mind that Youngjae and Jackson would be helping with the final preparations for the stage props and lightings because they hadn’t help for a week.

“Oh, you know. Just in case you want to see him ogling towards you.” Nayeon continued teasing her and she couldn’t help but grin at the adorable sight of Mina blushing.

And Nayeon was right. She can never be wrong, can she? Youngjae and Jackson are sitting together right at the front seat, they were busy talking. Nayeon smirked when she saw Jackson nudge at Youngjae and pointed at the direction of the stage.

Youngjae’s eyes become wide when she saw Mina in a ballerina costume. Sure, he has seen some movies portraying ballerinas in their costume but what he’s seeing right now is not on par with that. 

Mina is gorgeous.

“Dude, you should take a picture. It lasts longer.” Jackson teased as he dragged Youngjae near the stage, using the excuse that they need a closer view to fix the lights.

“I’ve already have a lot of her pictures dude. And besides, it’s not allowed because this is a dress rehearsal.” It’s a slip of a tongue and Youngjae hasn’t noticed it but Jackson did and just snickered at his friend. He's like a stalker right? Taking pictures in secret? But since he's good looking, he's an admirer instead.

“They won’t know. And besides it’s not like you would let other’s see it! And the play is like two days to go!” Jackson insisted and pulled Youngjae to sit.

Someone must tell Youngjae that most of the time, if Jackson asked him to do something, even if it’s for his benefit, he should learn how to decline. Why? Because it causes trouble for the both of them.

If the shutter sound of his phone camera is the worst thing that could happen when you’re trying to sneak a picture of someone you like, what about the flash? 

Mina was startled when she suddenly heard a camera shutter and a flash directed towards her. To Youngjae’s non-existent luck, the music that Mina was supposed to be dancing hasn’t start playing yet so he was sure that Mina heard his phone.

“Jackson!” Youngjae shouted in a whispering manner to get his best friend’s attention and threw him his phone.

“Who’s that? I told you, no pictures allowed for the dress rehearsal.” The play director once again scolded and directly stared at Jackson who was now visibly holding Youngjae’s phone.

Youngjae just whispered an apology and flashed Mina a smile before dragging Jackson and their things and head out of the auditorium.

“Hey, where are we going?” Jackson asked when they stopped running-walking.

“Where going back to class, I’ll just message Jinyoung hyung. We can’t go back there! Have you seen the director’s glare at us?” Youngjae explained and acted like he’s shivering while typing a message to Jinyoung.
