Chapter 13

The sun has already set when the five of them decided to bid their thanks and goodbye to Youngjae's sister and brother-in-law. Youngjae on the other hand, however wanted to spend the night with his sister, decided against it because he had a lot of things to do.

Chaeyoung, Jackson and Dahyun shared a knowing look and decided to ditch Youngjae and Mina.

"Youngjae-ah, m-my brother just called me earlier and he asked me to spend my weekend with him." Jackson reasoned out.

"So?" Youngjae asked him out of confusion. Why would he suddenly tell him about it?

"So, I won't be able to go back with you guys, he told me that he's around the area. You guys go ahead without me." Jackson told him thanking everyone he knows in his mind for immediately thinking of a reason.

"Hmm, okay." Youngjae just shrugged as Jackson and him just gave each other a man-hug to say goodbye.

"Youngjae oppa, I forgot to tell you something," Dahyun started while they were already walking, "my mom texted me to pick up something for her so is it okay for me to leave you guys?" she asked praying that her reason would not be too lame.

"Will it take a long time? We can go with you because you know, it's already late," Youngjae politely asked.

"Oppa, what late? It's just 6:00 PM goodness and besides, I'm gonna drag Chaengie with me because we'll meet someone after." Dahyun answered Youngjae as she put her arms around Chaeyoung's shoulder.

Chaeyoung nodded in agreement, "Oppa, can you walk Minari home? I mean if it's okay with you?" She then asked while looking at her best friend who is slowly realizing their plan.

"Of course, I'll make sure to send her home safe, yah! You guys send a message to me if you arrived home already okay? Take care." Youngjae said.

Meanwhile, Mina can't help but to stare at Youngjae. How can he be so mature for his age? She thought. He always looks after his friends. He's like the big brother of the group.

Mina was cut in her thoughts when she realized that Youngjae has stopped walking.

"Yah, you're spacing out. Are you okay?" He asked the girl kind of worried and at the same time amazed at how pretty the girl in front of him can be even if she's tired.

"O-oh, I'm sorry, what were you saying?" Mina asked in a small voice, still embarrassed from getting caught spacing out.

"I'm just asking you, do you want to take the bus or do you want to take the subway?" Youngjae repeated his question while shaking his head, still amused of how Mina acts so different in front of her friends.

"It doesn't really matter, but since we're already near the bus stop, I suggest we just... take the bus?" Mina answered Youngjae still feeling awkward that their friends left them together.

Youngjae nodded his head in agreement and they walked until they arrived at the bus stop. After another 5 minutes, there bus had arrived. Youngjae, being the gentleman that he is let Mina sit take the seat beside the window.

"Ehem," Youngjae faked cough to caught the girl's attention, "d-do you want to grab s-something for dinner?" he continued a bit stuttering for some reasons he doesn't know what.

"I'm not really hun-"

"Nevermind!" Youngjae immediately said, cutting of Mina's sentence. "You will come eat with me, my treat!" He added earning stares from the passengers because of his loud voice.

Mina on the other hand seems flustered at the thought of eating out with her crush.

"Fine, but you don't need to treat me. I'll pay my own." She said a little proud of herself for not stuttering while talking to him.
