Chapter 27.2

After Youngjae’s, once again, shocking confession, things almost got a bit awkward.

Almost and he cannot be more thankful for the dogs for the distraction.

He was a big fan of dogs and he cannot be gladder because that’s another thing Mina and he have in common. Instead of spending more time in playing with the puppies and dogs, he finds himself more attentive with the way Mina is playing, laughing and interacting with the dogs.

He keeps on sneakily taking pictures of the girl. Well, he’s not so sneaky because most of the pictures he has captured are Mina posing for him. He’s not complaining.

“Uhm, hey Mina, it’s almost 5:00, would you like to go and grab something to eat?” Youngjae stood up and went near Mina, they were almost playing for about 4 hours and he’s not complaining but he’s getting hungry.

“What? Really? But I don’t want to leave.” Mina said, sounding almost whining and Youngjae had a hard time containing his smile.

“But you need to eat too.” Youngjae argued and he almost agreed to stay longer when Mina puffed her cheeks and looked down while petting the dog.

“How can you leave them. Look!” Mina exclaimed and Youngjae didn’t stop himself from grinning.

“Well, I just thought that you might miss Japanese food and I know one restaurant that’s just somewhere here.” Youngjae teased and shook his head while walking away from the girl. At the mention of Japanese food, Mina immediately stood up and bid her goodbye to the dogs.

“Hey, I thought you still wanted to stay here a little longer?” Youngjae asked when he noticed Mina walking beside him.

“Well, I kind of miss my country’s food.” Mina answered and shrugged.

Youngjae just let out a laugh at Mina’s answer and proceeded to return the aprons they borrowed before bidding goodbye to the staff.

“Hmm, the restaurant’s not that far from here. We can walk or take the bus.” Youngjae said and glanced at the girl beside him.

“Will it take that long if we’re walking?” Mina asked.

“It’ll be approximately 30 minutes if we started walking now and about 10 minutes by bus.” Youngjae answered and kept his hands in his pocket.

“Then let’s just take a walk. I haven’t been in this neighborhood and I’d like to look around.” Mina answered and Youngjae beamed at her.

Youngjae just kept on pointing at the stores and literally anything that Mina would be curious about and explain it to her. It’s a good distraction that they haven’t noticed they were already at the restaurant.

“So, what changed your mind and decided to leave the dog café?” Youngjae asked Mina after finishing saying their orders.

“Hey, I’m growing too. I won’t turn down free food.” Mina answered and shrugged.

“Free? Who told you I’m paying?” Youngjae teased and Mina just shrugged again.

“Well, I’m still growing so I need to eat, I can pay-” Mina started answering but was cut off by Youngjae.

“I’m just kidding, of course I’ll pay for us.” Youngjae said and winked and Mina just shook her head. She can never be used to flirty Youngjae.

“But hey, I just realized that I can also pay for the both of us.” Mina tried to argue.

“You can but I won’t let you. I want to be a gentleman for you.” Youngjae said before thanking the lady who served their foods.
