Chapter One

"Rain!" My mother yells a me from downstairs. "Are you up?"

"Yeah mom I'll be down in a little while!" I yell back to her. I pull myself out of my bed groaning as I stand up. I make my bed quickly before quickly taking a shower. I come out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my body and another around my hair. 

I walk to my closet and look through my clothes. I decide on black high waisted shorts, a turquoise tank top that I tuck into the shorts, and my silver VANS. After I'm dressed I walk back into the bathroom to fix my hair. I take it out of the towel and brush it out spraying leave-in conditioner on it. I let it fall in its natural waves down my back. When I'm satisfied with how it looks I grab my phone off the charger by my bed and walk downstairs.

I enter the kitchen and both of my parents are there which is unusual. My dad is a lawyer and my mother is a surgeon which means they aren't always home.

"You look beautiful sweetheart." My dad says to me. 

"Thank you. Gotta look good for my first day right?" I say and he chuckles. 

"Of course."

"Do you want breakfast?" My mother asks me and I shake my head. 

"I'll stop at Starbucks or something on the way. I need to get gas so I better get going." I say. 

I give both of them a hug and a kiss on the cheek before leaving. 

I walk into scholl about 20 minutes later with a double chocolate chip frappe in my hand and a granola bar in the other. I pull out my phone to look at my schedule in my notes because I knew I would forget to grab the piece of paper this morning. I decide to find my locker first. I look up at the signs pointing different ways and try to follow them to my locker.

Five minutes later I give up and decide to ask someone. I walk up to the closest person which just happens to be a boy. I tap him on the shoulder before speaking.

"Hi. I'm new here do you think you can help me find my locker?" The boy turns around and looks me up and down before scoffing and walking away. My eyes widen at his actions and I watch his figure retreat down the hallway. I didn't get a very long look at him but he was attractive I can tell you that.

"Sorry about that. He can be a bit rude sometimes." A boy with blonde hair that is styled in a quiff says. "I can help you want. I'm Niall." I notice he has a very strong Irish accent. I smile at him before handing him my phone so he can look at the screen. "H49. That's really close to mine! Follow me."

He hands me back my phone and I follow him to a group of lockers a little farther down the hallway. I put in the combination of the locker he showed me to and it pops open. I smile at him before shutting it.

"Thank you." I say.

"No problem. I never got your name though." He says. 

"Rain." I anwer him just as a bell rings. 

"Well Rain, what is your first class?"

"Uhhh Chemistry."

"Me too! Welch?" I nod. "Well let's go!" He says before walking away. 

I think I've just made my first friend.

Hey guys! Before I start I'm Bri and this is my first story on Wattpad and the first few chapters might be a little rough so forgive me! Anywho this is a Liam fanfiction even though he wasn't in this chapter (or was he? Hehehe) he will be in one of the ones coming up! If you guys could tell me what I did wrong and give me pointers on how to make this book better without being rude about it please do! I picture Rain as Victoria Justice but feel free to picture her as someone else if you like!
