Chapter Two:
I follow Niall into a classroom and sit at the desk next to him. Two other boys sit in front of us and another on Niall's side. They all turn around and begin talking to him.
"Hey guys this is Rain. She's new here." Niall introduces me. I give them all a small wave and a boy with blue eyes and brown hair speaks.
"Hey I'm Louis!" He says and I cringe at how loud his voice is. The rest of them go around introducing themselves and I learn that the two other boys' names are Zayn and Harry. I look around at them and see that everyone but Niall has tattoos. I'm about to ask about them when another bell rings and the teacher begins talking.
"Hello class I'm Mrs. Welch and I will be your Chemistry teacher for the year. Since it's the first day of your senior year I'm going to skip the rules that you've been hearing over and over again since kindergarten and go straight to the introductions. If you would all move your chairs into a circle around the room for me please?" We all obey her and move our chairs around. I settle into my chair and look across the circle and see the boy I asked for help from sitting across from me.
I usually am not quick to judge people, but he was just plain rude when I all I was doing was asking for help. I don't realize that I am staring at him until we lock eyes and he smirks at me. I shake my head slightly and look away, embarrassed for being caught staring at him.
"Lets go around the circle and say our name, your hometown, and your favorite sports to watch or play." Mrs. Welch says. She looks around the circle and when her eyes land on me she smiles. "Would you like to start us off?" Everyone turns to look at me and I feel my cheeks heat up before standing, clearing my throat, and speaking.
"Uh hi, I'm Rain Ashford, I'm from Texas, this is my first year in Georgia, and I play soccer." I say. The teacher smiles at me and nods, me sitting back down. The class goes around the circle and I don't pay much attention to what anyone says until the boy across from me goes.
He doesn't stand like everyone else has been doing. He slumps farther into his chair, crossing his arms over his chest making his biceps fill the sleeves of his shirt. I look at his arm a little closer and spot a few tattoos on him as well.
"I'm Liam, I'm from London this is my 5th year here and i play soccer." He says. We finish going around the circle until the bell rings. I walk out of class with Niall, Louis, Zayn, and Harry. We have barely stepped out of the classroom when Liam approaches us.
"Hey lads." He says to the boys they all wave and look at me before awkwardly walking away.
"See you at lunch?" Niall whispers into my ear and I nod and he gives me a small smile before walking away. I watch his figure for a second before snapping my eyes back to Liam.
He's staring at me with his brown eyes that appear soft but if you look a little harder you can see a certain hardness behind them. "Well aren't you cute?" He says with a smirk. I scoff and roll my eyes before beginning to walk away. However, he grabs my wrist before I can get far. "See you soon baby doll." He says before dropping my wrist and walking away.
