"Hey do you want to go out to eat with us?" Avery asks after the class is over.

"Uh... sure!" I answer. She gestures for me to follow her and I walk with her to her car. Morgan and Ashton are in the backseat while Luke is in the passenger. I slide in between Ashton, who still won't look or talk to me, and Morgan.

"Why didn't you drive your car?" Morgan asks.

"Oh I came with my mom. Do you think you could drop me off at home?" I answer. Avery nods and I pull out my phone to tell my mom. "Frick." I mumble under my breath. When I unlock the screen I see the text Liam sent me again. I slide the screen and put in the password ready to read the message but I feel someone's eyes on me. I look up and see Ashton looking at the screen on my phone. I clear my throat and his eyes snap to mine and he immediately looks away.

I breath in sharply and shake my head looking back down at my phone. I'm about to open the message when there is a nudge on my arm. I look up at Morgan and she smirks down at me.

"Are you texting Liam?" She says in a sing-songy voice. I roll my eyes and nudge her back.

"Noooo." I say.

"Mm I would." She says and I laugh. I hear Ashton scoff and look over at him and he is looking out the car window. "Ashton?" Morgan says and he turns to look at her, avoiding my gaze once again.

"Yeah?" He asks her.

"What the heck is your problem?"

"I don't have a freaking problem." He says turning back towards the window. Morgan rolls her eyes, looks at me and shrugs. She goes back to talking to Avery and i sigh and look back at my phone. I text my mom that Avery is going to drop me off at home then lock it again.

"Alright we're here. I hope you like Panera Rain." She says glancing at me through the rear view mirror. I smile at her and nod. Ashton opens the door on his side and I follow him out I try to make eye contact with him again but he won't look at me. I furrow my eyebrows getting fed up with his attitude.

Everyone starts to walk inside and I walk behind Ashton pulling him to the side before we reach the door.

"What is your problem!?" I half yell at him. He glares at me crossing his arms over his chest.

"Nothing." He says stepping to the side trying to get around me but I mimic his movement, not letting him pass.

"You aren't going in there until you tell me what's wrong with you." I say. He scoffs.

"Move."

"Nope."

"FINE! You want to know what's wrong with me?! I have a problem with you talking to Liam. Maybe I have developed a little crush on you and maybe I wanted to pursue it but no. Liam had to step in the way like he always does and try to get with you!"

By this time my back is pressed up against the wall and his hands are on either side of my head and his face is red with anger. My eyes are wide and his face softens as he takes in my state.

"I-I-I'm so sorry." He says softly. I slowly and carefully move my arms up from my sides and around his waist. I feel him stiffen a bit but then he realizes what is happening and hugs me back.

"You never need to apologize for your feelings Ash. I'm not sure what I want to do right now. Give me a little time please?" I say pleading with my eyes. He nods and gives me a small smile."So will you stop ignoring me now?" I ask with a raise of my eyebrows. He smirks a bit before nodding.

"Yea... sorry about that. I just couldn't talk to you without blowing up." He says. We laugh a bit before walking inside and joining the others. When we sit down with our food Morgan nudges my side.

"What happened out there? We heard yelling and tried to make Luke go listen but he wouldn't." She whispers in my ear.

"Talk later?" I mouth to her and she nods.

"Holy frick that was fun!" Avery says as we walk out of the arcade. After we finished eating no one wanted to go home so we went to the arcade around the corner. We talk and laugh all the way to her car but when we are in it and heading to my house everyone but Luke and I are asleep. I chuckle at the two people resting their heads on my shoulders, snoring slightly. I look up at Luke and he is smiling at Avery who is now in the passenger seat.

"You like her a lot. I can tell." I say to him, smiling. He looks up int the rear view mirror blushing slightly, then he sighs.

"I don't just like her. I love her and I know it." He says glancing at her once again.

"Have you told her?"

"No. I'm trying to find the right time to do it." he says with a sigh. I lean forward and place a hand on his shoulder.

"Trust me Luke. There is no right time." I say. He smiles at me again.

"I'll keep that in mind. What about you?" He asks.

"What about me?" I answer back.

"Who do you have your eye on?"

"Uh... No one."

"Bull."

"What!"

"I can smell when people are lying and you definitely are right now." I roll my eyes at his statement and he laughs.

"Yeah yeah whatever." I say. He glances up into the rear view mirror making eye contact with me.

"Just go with your gut. I know Ashton likes you and I know that Liam likes you as well. It's okay if you have feelings for both of them you just have to make a choice before they both move on."

"Wha- Wha- how did you know Ashton liked me?" I ask in disbelief.

"Please. He's my best friend. I know everything about him."

"Right. How could I forget?" I say sarcastically. He snickers a bit before focusing on the road.

"Holy frick." He states suddenly.

"What?" I ask looking at him.

"Your freaking house is huge!"

"Oh. Yeah. I get that a lot. I'll see you tomorrow and tell them all bye and thank you when they wake up for me please." I say and he nods. I give him a quick hug and walk up to the front door and unlocking it with my keys. i turn around and wave to Luke before he pulls out on to the street.

I step inside the house and look around for either one of my parents.

"Mom?" I say looking down the hallway. I'm just about to give up when her head pops out of the entertainment room scaring me half to death. I place my hand over my heart and feel it beating faster than normal.

"Jesus Christ you scared me." I mutter and she smiles.

"I'm watching some netflix would you like to watch it with me?" She asks and i shake my head no.

"Thanks but I have a little bit of English homework to do." She shrugs and goes back into the room leaving me alone. I walk up the stairs and to my room pulling my bookbag out of the corner I threw it in when I got home Friday.

I grab my English binder and set it on the bed then lean over to grab my headphones from off of the bedside table. I pull my phone out of my purse and unlock it. My messaging has a red bubble on it so i open it to read the message and see Liam's text from 6 hours ago.

"Crap." I mutter opening it immediately. Me eyes read over the text quickly and I almost drop my phone when I am finished reading the message.
