Mackenzie's POV

It's been two days since I left home. Today is Friday. The football game. I don't know if I want to go or not. Since I don't have to go to work or anything I don't have an excuse.

But, since this is still the best drama that's happened this year, everyone's still mocking me for those stupid texts.

"So Mackenzie you coming with us tonight?" Ruby asked.

"I don't know Rubs," I say.

We walked to my locker and I opened it up. I grabbed my things listening to Carson talking.

"Come on Mack, you've been avoiding all the football games. And now you don't have to work and you're not coming?" Carson ranted.

I closed my locker and look at him, "I don't know Cars, I'll think about it okay?" I say.

He nodded. Satisfied that I said I'd think about it.

We walked to class and I just zoned off. I thought about the diner. Nobody's been there for the past few days. The customers were right. They weren't going to come if we were there.

I watched the teacher give her daily lecture on whatever topic we were learning. Then we were given our class work to do.

"Mack, will you come with us?" Carson asked.

"I told you I'd think about it okay," I say.

"I just want you to come tonight Mack, enjoy a Friday night for once," Carson said.

I sighed and nodded. I look over and see John and his friends laughing. The asshole hasn't talked to me or even tried to since I blew him off.

"Know what? I'll go with you tonight" I smirked.

"Yes!" Ruby said hugging me.

Might as well take care of some business tonight if I'm going.

-

"You're going to have fun sweetie," Gianna said.

I was getting ready for the football game. She said Abby and Cameron were coming over tonight, so when I get back they'll be here.

"I hope so. But, I want to take care of some business before the game," I say.

She smiled at me and sits down on my bed. She gestures for me to sit with her. I do and she wraps an arm around me.

"He hasn't talked to you has he?" Gianna asked.

I shake my head no. "I thought he did like me. But I guess he doesn't. Especially after I ran off," I sighed.

"Well, he's an idiot. You're a special girl Mackenzie, if he can't see that, then he's blind," Gianna said.

I smiled and rested my head on her shoulder. "Why does everything bad happen to me G?"

"I don't know sweetie. But, God does things for a reason. Whatever reason he's putting you through all this, it's going to be good in the end," Gianna smiled.

"Thank you Gianna," I say hugging her.

Maybe everything is happening for a reason. But, what's the whole point to it?

-

I walked down the hallways of my school. The game is about to start. I need to do one thing before it does.

As I roamed I searched for the door I was looking for. It took me several minutes but I finally found it. I walk inside and it's loud. Really loud.

Guys are everywhere. I push through, receiving odd looks from them.

"Mackenzie?" John said as I stood in front of him. "What are you doing in the guys locker room?"

"I needed to take care of something," I say looking at him.

He walks over to me, I step back.

"John, I know I blew you off Friday when you called my name. I know Thursday you were embarrassed that those texts were read aloud to the school like me. But, I thought you were different. I thought you'd try. But, waiting for you to actually talk to me and tell me if you love me or not, is like waiting for it to rain in our drought. I'm not waiting for the rain anymore. I can't wait, and I'm not going to," I explained.

He just looks at me dumbfounded.

"Have a great game douche," I say shoving him.

I walk out of the locker room and back into the halls where I run into Ruby and Carson.

"What were you doing in the guys locker room?" Carson asked.

"I told John off," I said as we walked through the halls.

"What's you say?" Ruby asked.

"I told him I wasn't going to wait for him anymore. If he loved me he would've done something," I say.

"Nice job Kenzie," they smiled hugging me.

"Let's get to the game, it's about to start," Carson said.

-

It's the third quarter it's 27-36 we're winning. Maddie and her crew are down on the track cheering on the football team. Mom is in the stands watching Maddie and her crew rather than the game.

It's been fun, but I don't want to stay any longer. John's been looking at me the whole game. I don't want to stay anymore, especially if I'm distracting him.

"Guys I'm going to go home," I say.

"Why?" Ruby asked.

I gesture towards John and they nodded. Understanding why I wanted to leave.

"Okay, we'll come over after the game if you want?" Carson asked.

"Ya sure. I'll see you guys later," I say standing up and walking away from them.

I walked down the bleachers then someone grabbed me and spun me around.

Hey guys so here's the update. Sorry I forgot and keep forgetting. I am busy with school and other things so here it is.

Also, I'm really upset bc I wanted to do a Halloween story this year but I don't think I can get green eyed ghost done in time for Halloween. Because writing everyday will be a pain in the ass bc AP and honors classes you know?

Anyhow congrats to the girls who made it on dancemsquad you guys were awesome and that's why we chose you to be with us.

Anyways I have school tomorrow and I don't want to go. I don't think I'm going to go to homecoming because it's just sad for me in a lot of ways.

I went to my sisters roommates daughters birthday party today. They had a bounce house and it was so fun bc there was a slip and slide then a little pool.

So me, my sister, her boyfriend, her roommate and her roommates fiancé got in and like almost took out all the kids.

Most fun I had in awhile. Also I need a job bc I need money. Why won't people hire 15 year olds? Fml but my birthday is in December so only three months away.

So ya that's me. Don't have a QOTD today so I'm sorry. Just out of it lately.

So have a great day or night. Hope you enjoyed.

Bye loves xoxo
