Chapter 11; Confessions

Mackenzie's POV

It's now Monday. All the shenanigans that occurred Friday are probably gotten over with.

Carson and I are walking into school when I see it.

"Carson he's probably over me," I say as we walked through the doors of our school.

"I don't think he is Mack," Carson said.

I look up and see flyers everywhere. Asking for Cinderella. I'm in shock. I didn't think he cared all that much.

"Mack you have to tell him," Carson said.

I started walking fast trying to ignore Carson. But it didn't work to well.

"Mack, you can't ignore me. You have to tell him," Carson said.

"Tell who what?" Ruby asked joining us.

"Johnny is the one putting out the flyers. She's Cinderella, John was her secret admirer," Carson explained.

"Okay usually I don't say this, but he's right Mack. Go for him, and plus he broke up with my sister. Which I find hilarious," Ruby said.

"If he finds out who I am, he will never like me again. I can't," I say opening my locker.

"You'll never know that until you tell him," Carson said.

"And I won't. I won't do it until you tell Brynn that you were the one making out with her at the dance," I say.

"Okay one, that kiss meant nothing. I don't even like her, she was just drunk. And two, I'm not telling her," Carson said.

"And I'm not telling him. There plan and simple."

I close my locker and they're by my sides.

"Kenz were being serious. You have to tell him," Ruby said. "You say he makes you so happy and all this stuff. But you're not going to do anything?"

Sighed and stopped looking at her.

"What if I tell him and he hates me. What if I tell him and he laughs at me?"

"Then he's an asshole Mack. You're the greatest person we know, and if he doesn't like you he's an idiot," Carson said.

I sighed and nodded. "I'll think about it. Happy?"

"Very," they say.

Carson, Ruby and I are at the community pool. My sister and her friends are here with their boyfriends.

I looked at Carson. "So are you going to do it?" I ask.

"If it gets you to talk to John then yes. Now pray for me. I'm bout to either see the light, or the devil," Carson said.

Ruby and I laughed and watched as he walked over to them.

"I can't believe that he's actually doing this," I say.

"Same," Ruby agreed. "So are you actually going to tell John?"

"Maybe."

"Don't be like that Mackenzie. Seriously, if he didn't like you, he wouldn't be doing this," Ruby stated.

"Okay fine. I just have to find the right time."

Ruby smiled and wrapped her arm around me.

"If all three of us get into NYU, it's going to be the best time of our lives. I'll have my best friends with me," Ruby smiled.

"Best friends?"

"Ya of course. I've know you two since we were three years old. You're my best friends, I mean I have my punk friends, but they don't compare to you and Carson," Ruby explained.

"Thanks Rubs. Who knew you had such a big heart," I teased.

She laughs and playfully hits me. "I have one, I just don't show it as much," she laughed.

We look over at Carson talking to Brynn. It looks like it's going okay. Then Brynn walks away. Carson stood there for a moment.

"What the hell is going on?" Ruby asked.

I shrugged.

Then he gets soaked when someone jumped into the pool.

We both died laughing.

He walks over and looks at us.

"How'd it go?" I ask between laughs.

"Not bad actually. But she's like if I didn't have a boyfriend I'd date you in a heartbeat," Carson said.

"She would date you in a heartbeat regardless a boyfriend or not," Ruby stated as we walked away.

"She's not wrong," I say.

We walk to my car but stop Carson.

"Get the towels from the trunk and put it on the seats in the back," I say.

He grunted but did it anyways. I drive Carson home so he could change then I drove us to the diner. They like to hang out there while I work.

"Hello children, how was school?" Abby asked.

"Secret admirer is looking for Mackenzie," Ruby said.

"He must really like you," Gianna said.

"He liked Cinderella, he doesn't know who I am, I never told him my name," I admit.

"You're going to tell him though, right?" Cameron asked.

"Yes I just not sure when I should."

"Sooner than later," Gianna said.

I nodded and just thought. I thought of all the possibilities and the reactions John would have when he finds out the girl he fell in love with, is diner girl.

Hey guys so sorry about the delay in update with this story. I was gonna update yesterday but I had like no service and i just got to New York too so ya.
