Mackenzie's POV

I know what everyone's thinking, she's only a junior in high school and she keeps worrying about college. Well, like me and select people in grade, we take senior courses.

So with that being said, we can graduate early. So far all I know is Carson, Lauren Orlando, Ruby and I can graduate early.

I'd be surprised if anyone else can graduate early too. Especially if it's some of those bird-brain bimbos in my classes.

When I say bimbos I mean, Nadia Turner, Brynn Rumfallo and their boyfriends. If I can remember correctly John Orlando can graduate early like his sister, too, but I could be wrong.

If I could get out of here sooner I would. Even if that meant I'd have to fake my own death.

After I got back from the car wash I dropped everything off for my mother. I get into my car and drive over to the diner.

When I parked I walked inside, and grabbed my apron.

"Afternoon Mack," Gianna smiled.

I smiled back and waved to her. "What's there to do?"

"Well, table seven needs their order taken, and so does booth five but I'll get that, you just worry about your homework," Gianna said.

"Don't worry, I did it already," I said grabbing a notepad and pencil.

"Did it in school?" Abby questioned.

I nodded and walked over to table seven.

"Hi, my names Mackenzie, I'll be your server today. What would you like to drink?" I introduce.

I take their order for the drinks and walk to the soda machine and get their drinks. I go serve it to them and take their order.

After I gave it to Cameron and he starts to make the food.

"How do you manage to do all your homework, have straight A's in school and work here?" Abby asked.

I shrugged, "to be honest I don't know. It just happens."

They smiled at me and I smiled back.

Abby comes up and strokes my cheek, "we couldn't be more proud of you. And your daddy would be too," she smiled kissing my forehead.

I smiled at her and hugged her.

"Thank you Miss Abby," I say.

I take the food, that was now ready and serve it to the table. I then return to the counter and grabbed a bin, and busted a table that just left.

I heard the door open, I turn around and see Carson. He smiled at me and took a seat at the little bar.

I smiled and once I finished I went behind the counter and got him a root beer.

"You know me so well Mack," Carson laughed.

"You've been my best friend since kindergarten Cars, of course I know you so well."

He smiled at me and took a sip of his drink.

"You want the usual?" I ask.

He nodded and I told Cameron. Within several minutes he gave me Carson's order. I gave to Carson and he smiled.

"Thanks fam," he laughed.

"You're welcome fam," I said.

"So Mack, you going to the dance?" Carson asked.

I shake my head no, "secret admirer asked too. I said I'd see what I could do. But I'm not going to go," I explain.

"Why not Kenz?" Gianna asked.
