No Tord is not a girl. Behind the scenes of the book, Tom and Tord were really wanting to have their own baby, obviously that wouldn't work due to their genders. So what they did was get a type of surgery where they would ovaries and healthy eggs into Tord and allow it so he can get pregnant. I don't know if they have made this possible yet so don't YELL AT ME IN THE COMMENTS CAUSE HOLY GOD YOU PEOPLE! This was gonna be in a future chapter for when Torm gets older and curious.
