Chapter 36: Human

Authors POV

Soon the next day arrived and the girls and boys got their respective missions started. Of course they had classes in between as well. Miyako was currently in her biology class and it was her lunch period. She didn't felt like she wanted to eat, so she just stayed in her class until lunch was over.

Unfortunately, she shared biology class with Boomer which made her groan.Boomer walked in his biology classroom to only find Miyako sitting at her desk working on something. He rolled his eyes at her before plopping himself on his chair. A few minutes later, the other students started to come in and soon the class was full. The teacher then came in and shushed everyone before making an announcement.

"Okay listen up! We will be doing a one period project meaning you will only have 40 minutes to your project. But the task is simple enough so you can hand it in by today! You can do it at any free period or even do it now if you want, but you will have lesser time. Alright with that cleared up, let us begin to class "

The students groan at the mention of project. They've been doing projects all year long and they were getting sick of doing them. Miyako sighed before plopping her headphones on and wrote down her notes. Boomer sneered his eyes at her suspiciously, but then continued to write down his notes as well.

It was around after physics, that Miyako's class had a free period. That was when most students did the project. And Boomer being the lazy ass he is, wanted to finish the project up so he could go home early. Though there was only one problem. Everyone had partnered up leaving him and the person he disliked most left. Miyako. He groaned as he dragged his bag from his seat and swinged it onto his shoulders. He then proceeded to head over to her desk to start 'interacting ' to her in some way.

"Okay, since I'm the only one left along with you we have to be partners. "

He straight forwardly said as soon as he got close enough. Miyako stopped writing down her notes, took off her headphones, and blankly looked at him.

"Hmm what did you say? "

He groaned as he face palmed at her. He then crossed his arms.

"Listen this time alright,  for the project in biology we have to get a partner and everyone teamed up. So I'm stuck with you. Either we have to work together or fail biology. "

He said making Miyako groan and rub her temples. She then looked back at him.

"Are you sure we can't do the project alone? "

Miyako asked and Boomer shook his head.

"If we had to do it alone, I would have started on it since bio "

He said. Miyako sighed before packing her stuff in her bag, grabbing her headphones, and swinging her bag on.

"Come on, if we're doing a biology project were doing it outside "

She said as she walked toward the door. Boomer huffed his hair and proceeded to follow Miyako. Miyako ended up choosing an empty bench and table to do the project. She placed her bag beside her before taking out her biology note book and a pen. She then faced Boomer, who just sat down.

"Okay so the project was to... What again? "

Miyako asked. Boomer rolled his eyes at her before bringing out his notebook and looking through his notes.

"It was to observe the stages of the water cycle that effects plants... "

He mumbled as he flipped through his notes before closing his notebook. Miyako sighed and began copying down her observation on the stages of water cycle she had learned during her biology class. Boomer just sat there in the awkward atmosphere between him and Miyako, and it wasn't that all pleasing.
