Chapter 43: Explanation

Authors POV

"Well it was about when I was 8 years old and you all were 4. Me and my mother were visiting the Atatsumi household because Moriku won the science fair prize and my mom wanted to congratulate Ms.Atatsumi. I was a bit shy back then and used to hide behind my brother Shou, whom you had meet. But when I saw Moriku I instantly was amazed by the things she did and how science worked. "

Hikari started as she wondered on for a minute.

"Later we went into the same Middle School and I would always visit you all, because you all and me were neighbours. A few years later when you all turned around 7 or 8, my mom passed away along with Ms.Atatsumi. Moriku got really depressed and would usually lock herself in her room a day working on her experiments. I would get frustrated when I had to babysit all of you and would usually just leave you crying. I was only in my young age of life, what did you expect? "

She sighs.

"Around that same time, scientists started to experiment with Element Z and one day, Moriku got hired as a part time assistant at the local Science lab where she would occasionally help out. But an accident occurred where all of you got hit by Element Z and was presumed dead afterwards. Moriku's depression deepens even more. But shortly before we were going to bury your corpses, you somehow woke up again and asked why you were there. "

Hikari then rolled her eyes before continuing.

"The scientist thought it was a golden age of Element Z and did experiments on you, even Moriku herself was so surprised. I became less needed and eventually had enough of the lack of attention and decided that I wanted to become a prodigy of science too and spilled Element Z all over myself. But I didn't get the same fate as all of you did "

Hikari floated towards the tube and gently touched its glass.

"My skins got burned off me and my hair rippled into nothingness. I was set into the hospital where I got a heavy scold by Moriku. I envied all of you. I envied that you got the spotlight, lived perfectly normal healthy lives. I spent half of my high school life stuck in bed. "

Hikari's eyes darken for a second before she continued.

"So I decided to get powerful myself. I was the one who planned your trip to the science lab, I was the one who caused the explosion. So that this would all happen. I paid Mojo to adopt the 4 of you boys and to insert more black element z into your veins so you could run a little errand for me. Capturing the girl's white lights. Though I didn't need all of it, you boys sure did go all out. Oh and the acting to be scared! That was the best drama I've ever played in "

Hikari laughed. The boys turned their attention to their laps, not wanting to meet the face of the girls.

"So I decided why not awaken the first ever successful user of the element Z and take his powers! Brilliant aren't I? Then how could I float right now, you ask? Well the portion I placed in the tube was only a fraction of what I've consumed, oh and also Usagi was it? Your cousin was very delicious I may add "

Hikari laughed. Kaoru let out a 'tch' before eyeing her with eyes full of hatred. Usagi's eyes darkened as she stared at Hikari. It was because of envy. Envy made her turn into this. And Envy started a this. Hikari's eyes lighted up at the sound of the timer ending as a big smile plastered on her Face.

"It's ready... "

She then watched happily as the tube exploded revealing a tiny creature with crab claws for arms and a red body. Hikari gently stroked it before pressing a button letting the chains holding down the girls and boys free.

"This little guy's name will be.... HIM and he wants to have a little play date with you guys "

Hikari laughed and ushered Moriku to follow her before flying off. The little creature turned its head multiple times And the direction of its head landed on the girls and boys.

"Mama? "

An explosion occurred, destroying the entire inner part of the bookshop. The girls felt their bodies getting weaker by the minute as the Element Z inside them slowly drains out. Momoko coughed as the smoke started clear out revealing the red creature. It was shaking as it moved, sort of like a wind up toy, as it's head started to move inch by inch every time it took a step.

Brick offered his hand to Momoko but she stared coldly at him before pushing his hand aside. She quickly transformed before taking out her Katanas and trying to slice the thing in half. The other girls nodded towards each other before transforming as well, and started attacking the tiny yet dangerous creature.

A slice here, a dagger there, an arrow here and a cut of a scythe. The girls attacked multiply as they went in faster and faster. Momoko lunged forward and tried cutting it in many pieces of possible. But the creature simply looked at Momoko's direction before its eyes went red and an explosion went in the air. The girls eyes widen as they frantically shouted Momoko's name. Momoko waved to signal them she was over here and they rushed towards her.

"Momoko! Are you alright?! "

Usagi asks frantically. Momoko nods before coughing again. Miyako concentrated her healing powers on Momoko but was only manage to heal her bruises.

"I'm sorry... My powers are draining..."

Miyako whispered. Momoko smiled at her before wobbly standing up. She huddled with the girls and set up a plan.

"I need you girls to go ahead with your counterpart. As hard as that may seem after everything has been revealed, but the boys are currently our strongest allies right now. Besides, we are low on Element Z and we could dependon them from time to time "

Momoko said weakly. Kaoru was about to protest but hearing Momoko coughing harder made her shut up and just do it. They all nodded before waking towards the boys. They handed Momoko to Brick and sighed.

"We're only doing it because Momoko said so but we need each of our counterparts to go with us. "

Kaoru said with a groan as Miyako continued.

"Momoko explained how we have 4 teams, 2 teams can stay back here and fight off HIM, while one team evacuates the citizens, and while the other tries to find Hikari "

Miyako explained. The boys nodded before heading with their specific counterparts and heading out towards their specific location. Team Purple and Green stays behind to finish of HIM, Team Blue evacuates the remaining citizens while Team Red tries to find and finish off Hikari. Let the last battle commence.
