Chapter 41: Welcome Home

Authors POV

A small cackle could be heard, echoing through out the halls. Momoko glared at the figure and struggled with all her might to get free. She was tied back to Brick and she could feel his body temperature rising, indicating he was beyond pissed.

"Don't even try. I made those rope's out of something you Element Z wielders are stung by, Chemical X.. "

The figure laughed as she stood up and floated towards Momoko and gave her a kick towards her stomach. Momoko got lunged backwards and coughed up some blood as she  sneeres at the figure.

"Hmm.. Interesting.. Looks like your Element Z level has been decreasing... Ah I knew I should have added more when the explosion happened. Never mind"

The figure said as it walked towards Brick and examined his face. Brick on the another hand was extremely aggravated and pissed. He growled at the figure.

"What. The. Fuck. Do. You. Want"

He growled at the figure. The figure simply laughed his threat off as nothing more and smirked deviously as it held the compact of Brick.

"Soon your little friend's will come here to so call save you ~ But we all know what happens when they try to~"

The figure smiled deviously. Momoko coughed a bit more before looking at the figure with a smile plastered on her face.

"Yeah.. Their gonna kick your ass"

She said, receiving a kick towards the gut from the figure. Momoko coughed even more and blood, as it continued to drop from her mouth but she smiled anyways. The figure looked down at her and let out a 'tch'.

"Stupid brat. Hmm anyways, Utonium take care of these peaks. I have a few errands to do "

The figure spook as it gave Momoko a last kick to the head and walked way, going outside. Professor John Utonium looked with a look of pity toward the two youngsters and sighed.

"Understood Ms.Hikari "

Colours could be seen zooming across the sky. On Kaoru and Butch's side, they just received a call from Boomer and Miyako saying to meet up with them at the location Boomer had shared with Butch. Butch let out a 'tch' as they zapped and zoomed toward the destination. Kaoru wondered why Miyako didn't speak at all when she contacted her and why Boomer sounded so pissed. But questions are better answered later right?

On Usagi and Blitz's side, they just reached the destination on which Miyako and Boomer shared and landed. Both de transformed and looked around. It was an abandoned old looking bookshop that looked like it had been burned down.

Wait, Bookshop, burned down, abandoned. Those words circled through Usagi's head as she held her mouth and gasped. It was here, the exact same place where they all met the boys. The Bookshop Moriku owned. Usagi froze in place. It all clicked.

The bookshop, the so called lost memory of the boys, Hikari's sudden disappearances. Blitz looked at her weirdly and rose an eyebrow. But before Usagi could warn him, a hand was already muffling her mouth. She then felt hands restricting her movements. Blitz's eyes widen as he tried to make a move but was strangled down by a dozen of ghostly pale, mindless creatures with weird markings plastered on them.

And the last things she heard before she was knocked unconscious was.

"Welcome home little bunny "

Kaoru and Butch were last to arrive and being last of course didn't please Kaoru at all. So she threw a big fit at Butch for flying so slow and he argued back that she was the one flying slow.

She was about to argue back but then noticed how familiar the surrounding looks like. She ignored Butch and walked around a bit and examined everything. The half burned up sign, the rubble everywhere and even..... The burned up books. Her eyes widen as she saw a massive pile of burnt books. She prayed that her suspicion was wrong and slowly opened the book. She gaps as she drops the book. She was correct. This was the Bookshop she met Moriku, Hikari and the rest.

She shook her head in disbelief and moved a step backwards. She didn't want to believe it. Butch weirdly looked at her before raising an eyebrow at her and crossing his arms. She held her face and shook her body. She was trembling. She didn't want to face reality. She didn't want to believe it was actually her who did it. Butch moved closer to her and was about to ask what was wrong, when he suddenly got grabbed by 3 ghostly white creatures, that made him inhale some sort of black gas, making him unconscious.

Kaoru's eyes widen as she processed what just happened. Oh. My. God. She hurrily sprinted way as fast as she could and tried to escape. She knew leaving Butch there was a bad idea but she was too afraid. Afraid of what they might do to her again. Her memories were slowly coming back, the amount of tests to the painful needles everyday. She couldn't take it.

She stops running as she catches her breath. She was safe now, for sure. Until she heard a voice she knew too Well. Her eyes widen as she felt someone grab her shoulder.

"That wasn't very nice Buttercup. Leaving Butch behind again, I see. "

And that was the last thing she had heard before she complete blacked out.
