Chapter 40: It's you?!

Authors POV

"Come out, come out wherever you are girls ~ "

Momoko without thinking grabbed Brick's arm and pulled him towards a corner.

"Call your brothers and ask them to meet up at school now. I'll call my friends "

Momoko ordered Brick. Brick quickly nodded and dialed numbers on his phone as did Momoko. Soon enough all the girls and boys were gathered at the school front yard.

"Okay can someone explain to me, what the hell is going on?! "

Kaoru yelled in frustration. Usagi tried to calm Kaoru down as with Miyako. Momoko clapped her hands together and got everyone's attention.

"Okay, so this might be a little too soon, but a huge explosion was heard from the north side of town and I could smell black element z. "

The girls eyes widen as did the rest of the boys. Momoko then continued.

"And a few minutes ago, I got a call from Moriku and she said that Professor John Utonium's lab was blown up and he was nowhere in sight. "

Miyako placed a finger on her chin, indicating she was thinking.

"So what exactly does this mean.."

She muttered under her breath. Suddenly another explosion could be heard coming closer. Momoko made eye contact with both the girls and boys.

" I don't know what the heck is going on but we have to transform now and see where the explosions keep coming from "

They all nodded at Momoko before transforming. Each holding their specific weapon, Momoko split up the team's into pairs of the colours ; Red, Blue, Green, and Purple. Using their belts as forms of communication, the boys and girls inspected all areas of the city and found that the north and western part were blown to bits.

Miyako gasped as she saw half of a office building been demolished.
Boomer floated right beside her let out a 'tch'

"The bastards who've done this are sick "

He muttered under his breath. Meanwhile on Usagi and Blitz's sided they de transformed and tried to evaluate as many people as they could. Usagi gripped her fists when she saw a little girl crying and her mother trying to calm her down. Blitz just looked at her with some sort of pity. On the northern side, Momoko evacuated the last of the remaining people there and contacted with the greens who said that they're side was completely fine.

Momoko let out a 'tch' before closing her compact. It's gone way too far. Suddenly a laugh was filled in the air. Momoko turned her head to meet face to face with the one person she thought of as a friend and allie. But seeing her now makes Momoko sick.

"Ah, Momoko they're you are ~ Say where's the rest of the girls?~
Did you like my present? A whole destruction of the northern and western part of the city in rubble"

Momoko gritted her teeth before opening her compact and tried to reach Miyako.

Hello? Momoko? What's wrong? We've just cleared up—

Miya listen, assemble the others and I'll send you the location where we'll all meet up okay I got attacked by—

hello?! MOMOKO?!

Momoko sneered at the person, as  it took away her compact and crushed it into dust. Brick tried to escape the minions grip but failed miserably. They were white in colour and had red blood shot eyes with weird carvings on them. More of a ghostly white and blood red. Brick gritted his teeth as they held him in hostage along with Momoko.

The person came closer and smiled at Momoko with a sickening smile. Momoko wanted so bad to wipe the smile of their face. But she knew she had to control her emotion for the sake of everyone else. The figure laughed at Momoko before floating back and ordering the ghostly pale minions to bring their captures to the secret hiding place. Or more of a science lab.

Miyako's eyes widen as the sudden intrusion between her and Momoko broke. She tried contacting Momoko again but she never answered. Panic rose in her eyes. Boomer noticed this and asked her what was making her freak out and she replied that she couldn't get contact of Momoko.

"Well I'll dial Brick up, since he is with Momoko. "

Boomer said as he removed his compact and dialed up Brick. He waited for a few minutes but no answer came.

"That's weird... Brick never mutes his compact.. "

Boomer mutters under his breath. Miyako's eyes widen even more and her breathing began to become unstable. Boomer rubbed  her back and asked her to keep calm and take a deep breath. She did as so and eventually calm downed. Boomer eventually tried contacting Brick again and was about to hang up when someone answered. Both Boomer and Miyako's eyes shone with hope, at least Brick responded and maybe they both were okay and it was probably just a signal cut.

But colour drained from their face as they both saw their friend and brother tied up and unconscious. The person answering only showed half of his or her's face and let out a small cackle.

"Bring the rest of you to the location I sent and I might spare your friends life ~"

The person chuckled before hanging up. Miyako was undoubtedly shaking as her eyes turned white while Boomer slammed the compact closed and with fire in his eyes said.

"Those fucking bastards are gonna pay for what they've done"
