Well, we all learned something today. I procrastinate like hell. This chapter is dedicated to RenaRinn.

--------------------------------------------------------------
For as long as you could remember, Giorno always fascinated you with his hopes for the future. It began with the story of him saving a mafioso's life and how he repaid him by turning his life around for the better.

"My dream is to become a gang-star."

You could tell he wasn't in it for the power, but for the influence to make Italy a better place. Overcome with conviction, you held out a promise pinky to him.

"I'll help you!"

After some years of pickpocketing and weaving your way into Passione, you aided Giorno in climbing through the ranks and take out Diavolo. You lost some valuable friends along the way but that's just how things worked in a gang.

Nowadays, things were a lot calmer than when you first began your career as a gangster. You spent most of your time lounging around the house or out on the streets with Mista. After finishing your rounds, you'd walk into Giorno's office and plop onto the sofa across from his desk. Today was no different.

"Busy day?" He asked as he looked over documents.

"Kinda. Busted a few drug dealers and chased out a few guys from our turf." You said, picking your nails.

"Haven't heard of any gangs trying to take over. Probably some common street thugs." Giorno assumed.

"We were common street thugs, once." You pointed out.

"We had what it took to get here, unlike them." Then his brows raised when an envelope caught his eye. "Are you up for a new assignment?"

Your attention snapped from your nails to Giorno immediately.

"Fuck yeah. What kind of assignment?"

"This will be one of your most important jobs yet." He began.

Your knee bobbed up and down in anticipation.

"There's a formal business gathering I have to attend and I want you to accompany me."

"Oh." You pouted in disappointment.

Giorno felt bad once he saw you practically deflate.

"Is something wrong?"

You straightened out once you realized how rude it must have seemed.

"No." But then you shuffled a foot on the ground. "Well, yeah, actually. I don't like parties."

"I guess I'll have to find someone else to come with me..." He trailed off, knowing well that you would not let that happen.

"No! I mean, you shouldn't have to trouble yourself."

"Then it's decided. Be ready in two hours."

Giorno kept a firm hand on your hip as you both sauntered into the room. You stared straight ahead as people turned heads and whispered among themselves.

"Does this usually happen?" You asked through a forced smile.

"Yeah, sorry." He answered with just as much strain.

A young man approached the two of you with a coy smile.

"Ah, Mr. Giovanna, you came after all."

"You invited me to discuss business, Luciano. I wouldn't miss the opportunity of potential expansion."

"Skipping the formalities, huh? I enjoy working with your type the most."
