The clock struck 2 pm and I was finally done my shift at the grocery store. This day seemed to of dragged on longer than I anticipated. I thought it would never end, I was always eager to leave because I knew Smokescreen would be outside waiting for me and I didn't want to keep him waiting. Knowing him, he would grow restless from boredum. That bot could never stay still in one place for too long, he was far too energetic for his own good.

I dressed out of my clothes and made my way outside. The store was fully ventilated with air conditioning, so I never looked forward to walking through those doors and being met with the blaring heat of Jasper's dry weather. Listen to myself, I was relying too much on the building's cooled environment. I'm 23 and I've lived in Jasper my whole life yet I still despise the heat. I tried not to think about it when I walked through the sliding doors.

"Ugh finally! Thought you'd never come out!", I heard the young mech's voice whine. It startled me because I was not expecting to hear his voice as soon as I walked out. Also, was that coming from right next to me? I turned my head and almost jumped when I saw a man leaning against the wall by the doorway with a giant smirk on his face. I had to rub my eyes and look back at him.

"Smokescreen, is that you?", I spoke baffled as I saw the young Caucasian man staring back at me with a gleam in his sapphire eyes. His hair was almost like frost with two red streams stretched from his forehead to back. I was having more trouble believing that he was human., but the coat he was wearing looked the same as the style of his bot form, with an open blue middle area where the zipper line was. He was slightly taller than me.

"It sure is!", he spoke with a bubbly voice. He skipped forward and wrapped his arms around me for a hug. My reaction was delayed but I hugged him back. I was so confused.

"How did? I mean how are you even human?!", I babbled.

"Well, apparently Ratchet had recently discovered that we Cybertronians had the ability to create a holoform of ourselves to better fit into society remain undercover, y'know, robots in disguise?", he flashed his hands at me. Part of me was still confused, but seeing him as a uman was both baffling and exciting for some reason. He still had the same silly personality that I always liked about him. To be honest, I found him quite attractive even when he was in his bot form. Was that wrong?

"I.. I just can't believe i'm looking at the same Smokescreen. Only... your human", I said as I walked around him taking in all his detail. He was quite thin as it seemed, but he probably had some muscle hiding under that coat of his.

"Aren't you hot in that coat?", I pointed at his thick leather material with fleece. Smokescreen shook his head.

"Nah, i'm just hot at different terms", he winked at me. I scoffed and rolled my eyes at his cheesy remark. Yup, that was Smokescreen alright. I hadn't noticed until now how hot the sun was beaming down on us. Another thing came to mind when I had thought about it.

"Hey, how are we going to get home without your car form?", I asked. Smokescreen scanned the area and quickly grabbed me by the hand. I was surprised by how warm it was.

"C'mon, we'll find somewhere secluded and I can change back", he said as he dragged me along with him.
