Well, today was the day. You finally collected enough courage to follow your spark and confess to the mech of your dreams. What got you to this point? Countless battles with your mind, sleepless nights, figuring that your life would be so much better if he just knew how you felt. There were a lot of reasons why you wanted this to be a thing, but you couldn't put it all with just a few words.

Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots, was an amazing mech. He took pride in looking out for those in need, even those who didn't really deserve it. You sensed his kind nature from the very beginning. The way he smiled at you when you agreed to joining the team, that alone was enough to make your spark pulse irregularly.

Throughout the time you have spent fighting along side him, you have caught on to why he was such a great leader. You didn't have to hear it from Bumblebee or the others, the proof was all there. He would risk his life in a sparkbeat to protect you.

There was a time with Dreadwing where you were almost blown to bits, and Optimus was the one that pulled you out of there even though he knew the bombs could blow at any minute. You were still damaged from the battle prior to the climax of the mission, but it was thanks to Ratchet's expertise that you were able to recover without any problems. Still, Optimus was worried sick for you. He feared that you weren't going to make it out, and that's what made you realise your feelings for him.

Even when you were functional by the following mission, Optimus shadowed you for support in case anything did go wrong. No matter the cause, he was there for you. The more time you spent around the tall and handsome mech, the more your spark would grow attached to him to the point where his very presence would make your spark beat faster.

He was so delicate, so spark warming. You couldn't stop thinking about him. You loved him to Cybertron and back. The only obstacle in your way was yourself. You crushed on Optimus so hard that you couldn't even function. After endless reconsideration and anxiety, you were going to tell him at the end of today, when everything was calm and you knew the two of you had a better chance of being alone.

You wanted to tell him everything that you felt, to give back all the greatness that he laid out upon you. You felt that he deserved to be happy, whether that would be with you or not. You prayed to the Allspark that he would say yes, that's all you ever wanted. What bothered you the most was that you had no insight as to whether or not he felt the same way about you. Even if he didn't see you that way, you would respect his decision. Being able to confess to him would be an achievement in itself, earning Optimus as a sparkmate would just be a bonus.

As you were on the mission of the day with Optimus and Arcee, you were distracted by your thoughts. You kept thinking about what you were going to do later today. You wish it would come to that point already because the more you thought about it, the more it made you nervous. you didn't want to let self doubt overcome your goal.
