"Well hello," she smiles at me.
I stood in my spot not knowing what to say, "Anna!"
She ran towards me and wrapped her arms around my waist. She was short, really short.
Anna is practically my sister. She is the same age as me but maybe a few weeks younger. My Aunt got pregnant with her right after my mom got pregnant with me. Which makes her my cousin Anna.
She let go of me and out her hands up in defense. "It's good to see you"
Her smile made me think of my mom, she looked practically identical to her and the smile just pulled me closer.
"I missed you" I looked down at my feet and rocked back and forth on my heels.
"She's beautiful" she whispered walking towards Miracle's bed.
"I know"
I couldn't help but smile. Just the thought of her made me feel all giddy.
"Has she gotten any better?"
"She has gotten even more stable from the other night. The doctor said she has a lot more chances now"
Anna turned around so that she was looking at me, "you're being strong. How?"
I couldn't help myself but laugh, "I struggled. Today is the first day I have decided to keep myself sane. I keep having these hallucinations that she is awake or waking up. So today I decided I needed to stay positive"
"That is very good! I'm proud of you little A"
I rolled my dark brown eyes, "don't call me that"
Anna looked at me with her black hair and dark chocolate eyes. She looked just like my mom, and I just couldn't get over it.
"You will always be my little A. Whether you like it or not" she giggled
I looked at Miracle and let out a sad, depressed sigh.
"She's gonna be fine. I'm sure Andria already has it under control" Anna wrapped her arms around my waist and leaned into me. "I said that same thing. But, she coded and I thought I was gonna lose her."
"She has this under control A. I know she does, it's kind of the same situation as she was in. She has your back"
I nodded my head agreeing with her.
God, I hope she has everything under control."Why don't we go get something to eat?" Anna looked up at me with her brown eyes.
"I can't leave her. I can't leave the hospital. I feel like if I leave her, I'm not being a good boyfriend and that she won't think that I care." I spoke truthfully. It's not like I was going to sugarcoat it for Anna. She's just like my sister for god's sake. I can tell the girl anything and she manages to find some good inspirational speech out of it.
"I understand." She took a pause before saying something else "well if we don't leave, how about we sit down and you can tell me all about this beauty"
"That's better" I smiled.

By the time I had finished telling Anna all about Miracle it was getting late. I told her to head back to her hotel for the night and she can drop in at any time tomorrow.
After she left I snuggled up on the cot the nurse had given me and tried going to sleep. But, something was telling me to stay awake. So, I got up and moved the cot so I was right beside Miracle's bed. I laid back down and grabbed her hand in mine.
"The kids didn't show up today because Kinsey was changing the locks on all the doors. Your aunt or someone came and pretty much gave her a whole set of new security, and it was all free. She still calls though, and she knows you wouldn't be upset because she is doing everything you would probably be telling her to do." I stopped and kissed her hand before talking again.
"My cousin showed up. Her name is Anna, she is our age. My aunt had her 2 weeks after my mom had me. Crazy, I know. She's like a sister to me, she gives me good advice and such. I was talking to her about your living situation and she thinks after you get let out of here, I should come stay with you for awhile. Being under these given situations, you won't be able to do much and I figured I should help you out. Since I'm your boyfriend and all" I figured I should talk to her as if she was talking right back to me. It was the best thing for me to do.
Talking to her like this made me feel open and welcome to the situation we were in. She needed intensive care, and I'm gonna stick with her the whole way.
"I'm going to stay with you whether you like it or not. I can't have something else happen to you. Especially under my watch. All eyes are gonna be on you, baby. I just really wish you would wake up and talk to me. It gets lonely sitting in this hospital without someone to talk to. Anna was jet lagged so I knew she needed to get some sleep. She came all the way from Washington just for us. You hear that babe? She came here for the both of us. Oh, and she already loves you. She said you are absolutely beautiful and could possibly be a model one day"
My eyes lids started to slowly get heavier as I would speak, making me yawn and have my eyes start watering. I needed sleep but I couldn't bring myself to finally get there.
"I'm getting tired. But I don't want to go to sleep. So, get up and tell me I can't sleep" I ordered even though there was no chance that was going to happen.
But for a second, my life went from 0 to 100 real quick.
