The past few days have come in and out like a blur. Kinsey finally got a job making like a little better. Hopefully her money will be used for food and I can buy the kids some newer clothes that actually fit. Aaron has tried to get me to talk about what's going on but I don't budge at all. I decided if I was ever going to tell him my secret, I needed to get his trust first.

So that's when I told him that Ayden was my very own child. Even though it isn't true I was just going to try and see if anyone finds out. Then if someone does find out, I can turn it around and make him look like an actual idiot. My plan was going to work, I made sure of it.

After I told him Ayden was mine, he just smiled at me. He made it look like he was completely okay with everything. "Your secret is safe with me"

I kind of felt bad for lying to him, because, he was so happy that I had finally let him in on something. But, I have to suck it up because my secret needs to be kept secret until the right time. No, if, and, or no buts about it. My secret was everything to me, considering that my family is involved.

Even if my own mother was abusive and could care less about anyone of us. I still want to make sure I get the kids under my wings before telling anyone about my terrible mother. I was scared, to say the least, I didn't want to have to turn my own mother in. But, I couldn't let her touch the kids like she had again. It wasn't going to settle with me any longer.

Aaron has gotten the hang of my little secret life, he's understood that I will tell my story when I am ready. I've actually decided to spend the day with him and making him buy me some ice-cream.

When we pulled up to the ice-cream shop, I couldn't help but smile. I was actually excited. I haven't had ice-cream in probably a year or two. Aaron looked at me with soft eyes, seeing as I was super-duper excited about this little shop right in front of my eyes. "I'm going to take this excitement as you love ice-cream?" He murmured.

My head snapped so I was looking at this blonde, brown eyed, and caring boy. I nodded my head numerous times, "Yes"

I got out of the truck and walked around so that I was standing in front of the hood. Aaron took a couple of seconds before standing beside me, "Come on"

I followed after him confused about why he was going through the back door. Aaron didn't seem like the sneaky type of guy. But this was showing me otherwise.

"What are we doing?" I whispered standing directly behind his tall body. He was probably around 6 feet tall putting my little body to shame.

"Give me a second Firefly" He chuckled entering even further into the shop. I gripped onto the back of his shirt making him laugh. "We're not going to die. Calm down"

I did as told and put my hands to my side. It was chilly in here, but it would kind of make sense seeing as it is an ice-cream shop. He pushed open a swinging door and was instantly attacked by an older woman. I jumped back which was my first instinct. Aaron began to laugh causing a smile to kind of pull up on my face. He reached out his hand and pulled me towards him and the older woman.

"Hello dear!" She spoke extremely happily making me want to turn around and walk away. I'm not good with happy people if you haven't noticed.

"Hi" I murmured beneath my breath. I was nervous, but more worried about who this person is and why she was so damn happy.

"I'm Aaron's grandma, Cathy. It's nice to meet you" She took my hand in hers and pulled me closer. "What kind of ice-cream do you want?"

I looked behind me to see Aaron grinning like he has just accomplished something great. "Chocolate"

She nodded her head happily, "Okie dokie! Do you want anything else on it? Like sprinkles or maybe some chocolate syrup or caramel syrup?"

This lady looked a lot like Aaron once you took a good look. Her dark brown eyes matched his, and they were glowing just like Aaron's do when he is having a good day. His blonde hair wasn't the same but the facial features sure did make you want to stare and compare. Cathy seemed like the very outgoing cookie giving grandma that I would have loved to have.

"Nah, I would just like some chocolate with nothing added if that alright."

Cathy looked at me and poked my cheek, "Smile dearie, it's almost summer and you're getting the best ice-cream around the town"

I looked back at Aaron who was taking a few spoons full of ice-cream from a small container. "Gram, I can disagree with that"

Cathy rolled her eyes at her grandson, "That's because your hell bent on being picky and only liking one damn kind of ice-cream." She turned back to me and whispered close to my ear but loud enough that Aaron could still hear, "He's like some type of alien."

Both Cathy and I began to laugh causing Aaron to grunt at how we are now going against him. He really was a loser, and it made me laugh. I liked seeing his sweet side and not his jock side that he shows at school making me dodge him whenever I possibly can. Besides him always finding a way to come towards me and smile like no tomorrow, he makes me want to shoot myself in the school territory. I hate jocks, they piss me off. They really think they are so much better than everyone but in all reality, they are all worthless like my mother.

Okay... So, I shouldn't go that far. But you get what I mean. Despite them being hot as hell, I would have never guessed I would be standing in front of one of their grandmothers.

"Gram, how comes you don't have anyone else here?" Aaron asked quietly so nobody behind the counter could hear. She shrugged her shoulders, "Aaron I don't need anyone"

He shook his head angrily, "Gram I told you before, enough with being bull headed. Just fricking hire someone"

She shot Aaron a mean glare making me giggle a little bit, "She seems like she has it under control"

Aarons eyes looked me up and down, "Yes, listen to your girlfriend Aaron. I have it all under control" Cathy handed me my ice-cream and then walked away before Aaron could argue anymore.

But there was one thing I had to say, "He's not my boyfriend!" I yelled towards her. She turned around and stopped in her spot giving me a creepy smile.

"Come on Firefly. I wanna take you somewhere"
