It's been a week since we got Emily back. Emily and Reed but Reed left with his father to go home and heal. It's been radio silence since then. It's been a hot and cold week. For no reason, I feel sad and depressed, but then I remember Emily and I'm happy as I could possibly be. Mom told me it's because of the separation from Reed but I barely know the guy. I've been having this argument with myself for over a week. I miss him but I shouldn't. If this is what the 'mate bond' my mom has been telling me is like, I don't know if I want it. Reed told me that he bites me to complete the bond or something, I asked my mom if it would turn me into a werewolf. She said it would, that's why Dad didn't bite her. That kinda blew my mind a bit. What if my dad had bitten my mom? Would I be a werewolf along with my sister? Would Blake hate me less?

God, Blake. Ugh. Blake hasn't shown up for a week. During school he avoids me and asks Melanie or Darren to 'cover him'. Everyday, Blake asks Darren or Melanie, Darren always wants to tell my dad but Melanie is too nice for her own good and begs Darren not to tell my dad. School's been oddly calm. It's not like people are lining up to be my friends but so far, no one has tried to attack me. Some people stare at me and treat me like I'm supposed to be under quarantine, but it's better than before. Training has been more frequent and vigorous. Blake's been skipping that too. I've improved a lot according to Joshua, Darren, and Melanie which is good news considering the Hunters are still out there.

Oh, I almost forgot, we're going to the normal people town! My dad finally broke after a solid week of hardcore begging. The second I sicced Emily on him, he broke down in two seconds. Too easy. My parents, Emily, me, Darren, Melanie, and Joshua were all going to the 'human town' as they so politely put it.

Emily burst into my room, "RED! RED!"

"What?"I said as she jumped onto my bed and sat on my lap.

"We're going shopping!"she squealed.

"When?"I asked matching her excitement.

"Mommy says an hour, she told me to tell you to get ready."Emily said smiling a mile wide.

Oh, Emily. My sweet, sweet Emily. She doesn't remember anything. She seemed unharmed physically, she was perfectly fine. Nothing seemed wrong with her mentally, but she didn't remember anything. She remembered the daycare, breaking glass, then my dad bringing her home. We had her checked out by therapists and psychologists, they're pretty sure she isn't blocking it out, they think they wiped her memory somehow.

"Red?"Emily asked interrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah, Em?"I asked with a slight strain in my voice.

"Can we watch TV?"she asked.

I had a ton of weekend homework to do. Emily looked up at me with those big brown eyes and I caved. She is my kryptonite.

"Sure,"I said turning on my TV and putting it on Disney Junior.

I got ready as Emily watched cartoons like every other morning. I finally settled on a orange shirt that flared out at the bottom and had white polka dots on it, white cardigan, blue jeans, and white flats. My hair was in a side braid and I threw a couple of thing in my pocket. Money, phone, and earbuds. Emily made me give her a piggy back ride down the stairs and to the kitchen where my parents were waiting for me. As I got downstairs Melanie and Darren walked through the back door into the kitchen.

"Hey,"I said as I put Emily down.

"Hey, Blake couldn't make-"Melanie started but I cut her off.

"I guessed as much,"I said a little more bitterly than I had intended.

Darren and Melanie both looked down at their feet. Joshua came into the kitchen with my parents.

"Hello,"Joshua said politely to all of us.
